Manual 6spd tranny fluid change

Ok guys so whats the best tranny fluid for these trucks.

lotsa guys are running synthetic atf instead of the gear oil they come with from dodge....... apparently, tremec also reccommends this..........

I am using Royal Purple Synchromax, which is designed for transmissions requiring ATF. Tremec service manual strictly warns against using gear lube in this trans. They state it can result in blocking ring damage.

I'm using Redline d-4. There is a thread that describes fluid change in detail and also reccomended fluids.

Anything synthetic ATf will work great bo, some say syncromes from dodge is the only thing to run says it goofs up the ring:dontknow: but I've got 14,000 on mine with redline D4 which I prefer and no problems:rock:
but of course Redline is superior to all
