Marine Corp's General Reinwald was interviewed on the radio the other day and you have to read his reply to the lady who interviewed him concerning guns and children. Regardless of how you feel about gun laws you gotta love this!!!!

This is one of the best comeback lines of all time. It is a National Public Radio (NPR) interview between a female broadcaster and US Marine Corps General Reinwald who was sponsoring a Boy Scout Troop he brought to his military base.

FEMALE REPORTER: So, General Reinwald, what things are you going to teach these young boys while they're visiting your base?

GENERAL REINWALD: We're going to teach them climbing, canoeing, and shooting.

FEMALE REPORTER: Shooting! That's a bit irresponsible, isn't it?

GENERAL REINWALD: Not at all, they'll be properly supervised on the rifle range.

FEMALE REPORTER: Don't you admit that this is a terribly dangerous activity to be teaching children?

GENERAL REINWALD: No we are very safety conscious and will be teaching them proper rifle discipline before they even touch a firearm.

FEMALE REPORTER: But you're equipping them to become violent killers.

GENERAL REINWALD: Well, Ma'am, you're equipped to be a prostitute, but you're not one, are you?

The radio went silent and the interview ended.

Marines always got a way of putting things into prospective.

Unfortunately it is not true. In fact, the general is a made up person.

The truth of the matter is there is no way in hell a Marine General would say something like this, maybe Jack Nicholson playing one hehehe.

The last general that might have said something along these lines was the greatest Marine general and maybe the greatest Marine of all time. That Marine was Lt. General "Chesty" Puller. One of my true heroes. And he was run right out of the Corps for having the balls to say things like this.

Doesnt matter if it's true....it was funny and the line could be used for other real life questions....putting that one in storage for later use..:D
