Well, we started the Airride conversion last week, ran into fitment issues, spent 4hours today putting the stock suspension back in for the run in two weeks. I will put the airride in after this first run. Will have to put off the Wind tunnel till august I guess. I'll keep you guys up todate.

Good luck on your run.

Have one question for you.

Are you doing anything in regard to the unsprung weight issue with your truck? If so, what?:dontknow:

if you mean things such as wheels, we are going to lighter wheels. As far as where the weight is, we are moving the weight around that we can to bring more of it to the rear. The battery and gas tank are being moved to the rear. The fire system, airride system is being put in the rear. The interior is being lightened. That sort of thing. As far as trying to lighten the overall weight of the truck, no. I'm learning that weight is not a bad thing in LSR. Just where the weight is on the vehicle is important.

LSR Land speed Racer, I guess it is a short hand term that has been around for awhile in their community

I tend to go overboard, and I'm sure this will be no different, but I try to enjoy the project, once it's done, then I move on to the next one. But it looks like this one is going to take a little longer than i thought.

do you need a cage...?????????

This first run is only to 135mph, do not need cage for that. Leaving on Friday the 22nd to head up there.

We are going to have to cut the rear frame over the axle off, bridge it about 6" into the bed and build a new rear section inside the bed to house the axle when it moves up in its axle swing as the suspension works. I did not think it would be that big a deal. I was hoping a simple c-notch would work, but the 06 frame is just alot more different than the 04's & 05's.
