Thats like saying when Hell Freezes Over Jeff!:( Its never cold here....we just have a long season and a short season....:dontknow:

And I dunno if I wanna pay that much if I can get a somewhat decent drop kit for less...

Hey, just wanted to see where you stood. Now I know, I would go with the McG?????ty's

I did the same thing when it came to the tonneau cover. I didn't want to wait and so I got what I did, cuz it was good. It was fast and now that I have it. I'm glad I got the one I did.

I know X-metal would prefer you got there's, but it comes down to really how long you are willing to put it off. Based on your statement, the delivery date of sometime in the next month or so, give a month or so, is not an option.

So pull th poll and order the kit tonight

You've already answered your own question

Jeffy

True. But I just want to have a poll anyways....:D

I never have one...(and when I do it gets shut down!:D:D:D:D)!!!!

Fair enough, now go order the kit :D

Once again....waiting on money. I'm not rich you know!

In that case, order the X-Metal Kit and tell him to ship it COD :D

I have found that anytime I compromise and not buy what I really wanted, I regretted it later. And generally I ended up buying what I wanted in the first place.

Remember, good things come to those that wait.

Here we go again,5 pages of comments, but not one addressing the question as to whether the QC is based on the 2500 chassis,or the 1500 !!!I tried explaining exactly what I ran into !!!Maybe the SMART thing would be to call and find out the diameter of each Manufacturers coil, and see if there is a different coil spring from McG for the 2500 and the 1500 !!!:dontknow:

I thought you were just kidding....I thought we had hashed that out before and determined that the 05's were on a 1500 frame?:dontknow:

If that is in fact the case, why when we put it on a 1500 it works perfectly, but on mine it did not ??And the fact still remains that the XMetal coil spring is DEFINITELY a larger diameter than McG's !!:dontknow: I'm not trying to be a dick about this,I'm just not understanding how others have put the McG kit on there 10's,and have not had any problems !!!:dontknow:

Ok I am not trying to bust anyones balls here and dont want to start a vendor quality war, that has been hashd over many times before.

but basically this is what you get............... differences in the rear? no

x metal gives you shocks
and a couple bump stops

the only thing that could possibly be any different is the coil springs, and I want get drawn into that.

I understand perfectly well the Physical differences, what I'm not understanding is how the McG kit works on similar trucks to mine, yet not on mine !!I have Boomers kit,and I'm happier than a pig in shitt !!!I do however like the price of the other kit far better !!!Yeah,I know, you get what you pay for !!!

I thought the question was about whether Kris should get the X-Metal or the McG

My apologies for interfering is a serious discussion

Sorry Kris....

Please disregard my input as it was apparently off topic

Dont Worry Jeff. I found your input to be extremely useful.;)

6Pak...I'm not trying to piss on your beloved drop kit. I was trying to see if it would be worth my hard earned money to buy a kit that is somewhat cheaper than DC's or Boomers.

I have heard a few of you say its a piece of junk and then I have heard a few say that they love it. I guess it all depends on what the person expected and sometimes manufacturers defects.:dontknow:

But if there were a majority of people freaking out like I was about to purchase a Hennessey product I would have turned away and never looked back....However, this is not the case.:)

I am an E-6 in the military and my wife doesnt work (She's a full time college student) and I have a kid. So my products may not always be top notch stuff....With that being said, I find your input useful to a point. You had a bad experience with the kit and so did a few others. Therefore if I purchase the kit and find that it sucks...I cant complain can I?:p

As far as what i've read and been told 05' QC's are on the 2500 frame and 06's are on the 3500 frame.

Do you know where I can find this in writing so I have some verification if I call the manufacturer?:) TIA!

Best bet would be to contact Daimler Chrysler directly 1 800 992-1997 M-F 8:00am - 5:00pm CST
