Except when the nut is just spinning .
I can’t remove the hub nut with anything Ive tried .. Insane and extremely NOT GOOD !

Wow ! Got the hub bolt off and the upper ball joint bot off ..
Powerful impact gun took care of the hub nut ,, a young guy down the street had the impact and it came right off ..

The upper ball joint nut was stripped which had to be done on a recall years ago done by the dealer before I owned it .. the nut was the only thing spinning … ended up with the neighbor who also had a cutting tool that cut the joint stud almost all the way through then used my ballpoint fork and a hammer and 1 hit and the nut popped off ,,, New upper ball joint and hub installed and finished …
Put in the new disc pads and SOB.. the brakes are dragging hard and heating up so may need a caliper for the passenger side now !
Im really beginning to hate the passenger side lol.. I’ll ache for days now , I ain’t as young as I used to be to be

No heli coils needed and the new cotter pin is in ..

I’ll try tomorrow and see if the disc pads will settle in with some hard braking as the are ceramic disc pads if not the caliper time !

See any threads in the ball joint nut ? NOPE , GOOD JOB DEALER DUDE AND KISS MY ROYAL ASS , I don’t like blood thinner bleeding arms and knuckles

Appears im replacing both calipers .. getting way to hot and dragging since I installed the new disc pads on the Dakota passenger side .. Piston was a little tight compressing ..
Rockauto beat all prices .. Both new calipers ( new avoids core charges ) , new rotors and new brake lines to caliper 175.xx for all .. Im just going with the calipers unless something shows bad lol

Got both front calipers and installed the passenger side tonight .. appears it has fixed the brake dragging problem .. will still be installing the drivers side .. only things left that I already have the parts are the lower ball joints and inner tie rods .. Then maybe upper and lower control arm bushings lol … the fun never ends .. I hurt and ache like some old fart lol

Not today , at least this morning so far … Damn thunderstorm stopped the plan to put the new driver side caliper on ..

Im going to have to check out the 10 hubs at some point as the caliper lock up problem with these trucks has heated the front brakes up more than once in the past … I have the caliper rebuild kits already for years but noticed one of the new pistons is chipped …I’ll,have to enlist the neighbor again with his impact gun from what my understanding is on the tightness of the caliper bolts and no idea on the hub bolts on the 10 ( YET ) lol

Got new front shocks and installing them when I get the chance …
Everything done for now when their installed .. I have muscles I don’t remember having lol right now and need to slow down somewhat .. Damn keep meeting up with the walking ladies the last 4 days and walked just short of 10 miles each day except today and only got in about 7 … Forest Gump has nothing on me hahaha ,,, RUN FOREST RUN you can’t catch this now 68 year old timer hahahaha !
