MELTED CATS!!

Scope those pistons! Look for signs of detonation. Low fuel pressure is a fast route to lean and lean means detonation.

Pull the plugs and look for powder on the electrodes...

I would also do a leak down test immediately.

Light on fuel is potentially dangerous.

Just my opinion...

Good point. Look for what looks like tiny silver specs on the ceramic insulator right below the center electrode on the spark plug. That is a telltale sign of detonation. The silver specks are actually tiny bits of aluminum that get vaporized off of the surface of the piston. Use a magnifying glass and look closely. If you are detonating under boost, the specks will be there.

If you scope the top of the pistons look for the same specs...it will look like tiny diamonds on the top of the piston...if it is there...you may well have some damage. The initial signs of that damage will be leak down, blow-by and some loss of compression...it could be in all cylinders a few or just one...hopefully you have no damage. If you do have some from detonation, I would bet it would be cracked piston ring lands. All ten of my lands were cracked, the engine was running strong, but I had leak down and blow by. When the pistons were removed, some of part of every land fell out...

Hope you do the tests...and I sincerely hope you find zero evidence of detonation!
