I have done some researching on the site regarding Methanol in regards to:

1. How much horsepower and torque gains? realistic #'s
2. Can you use with NA motors? , or do you need to be SC'd or turbo'd?
3. Do you need a VEC2?
4. Any cons with using methanol? ie internal turning that lovely shade of orange that we all love, or any other draw backs.
5. What type of system is needed for our application?

A few members have asked these questions, but no one has really answered them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not an expert but I might be able to help out.

1. I don't know excact HP gains. I think of meth as more of insurance for your engine.
2. You can use NA but will see bigger gains if you are FI.
3. You don't need a VEC2 but you will need some other way to trigger the meth. Some kits come with a control module to trigger the meth. By this I mean there has to be some sort of computer that controls when the meth is injected. You don't drive around all the time with the meth being sprayed.
4. I have heard of corrosion problems with meth, but I have also heard that it was on earlier meth kits (like 8 years ago). The kits that are out today might not have this problem.
5. You can get a kit from Roe Racing for about $300 but you will need a VEC2 to go along with it. You also need to know when you want the meth to trigger so you will need some tuning, maybe?

1. NO HP gains.....very little if any
2. Yes....its cheap insurance against detonation....and u can run more timing with it (thats where the hp comes in)
3. NO...u can use whatever controller module u want. A VEC will just add the timing also....
4. No...but some may say it washes the cylinder walls down.
5. Snow Performance,FJO (better), and Roe has a kit that uses Snow performance parts.

Everything this guy just said is bullshit!!

FJO wasn't out yet when we did my Truck, went with Snow, and NO problems! Plus your windshield washer fluid comes with Methanol in it. They put the 50/50-mix (water/methanol) in my windshield washer bottle...hehehe, pumb right under the bottle
And we inject-it in front of the Supercharger instead of in front of the T/B.

Quick

Go FJO.....but only bother if you have a good tuner....add insome timing and say goodbye to heat soak...
