Can I install mids and theninstall headers after? Is there any problem with fit without the headers? Which mids should I be looking at?

I think Boomers mids work for stock headers as well as Gibson headers. Anything else requires the Mfr's mids (B&B, Belanger). People in the know, please chip in.

Correct! Long tube headers require their own mids.

Yep, Boomer's Mids will work with Gibson or Bassani headers, any of the long tube headers will require a different set up.
