Mile Record?

I know Big nanas old truck witch is now mystics truck.. but does anyone know what the exact record was that the truck holds?. i'm really thinking about running the mile this coming october. granted i'm not stock but i'm sure there has to be some record to break or make... but my main question is what was his exact record and times and MPH? or point me in the right direction please!

Here you go:

Well, my truck holds the east coast record for a stock big block truck for the standing mile at 147.88mph (it was set a Maxton NC). Mark (the previous owner who set the record) said that the truck hit 160 about 3/4 ways down the track but when he switched to 6th gear it knocked him back to 147.88 by the time he crossed the line, i guess he thought they would give him the full 160 for the record but they didnt...

Either way he beat the old record which was held by a 454SS chevy at 123mph.

Tooloe,
700hp, guessing you wouldnt be in the same class anyway. Thats not very stock.
I know Mickey ran down in Miami also, but do not know his time/speeds

As i recall Mark told me that he was only allow exhaust and a tune at max (if i remember correctly). It holds the "Production" reccord, so Tooloe your truck would definatly be in a different class

hahahaha thanks guys yeah i was just going to try the N/A class and maybe spray a pass but i dunno.. we will see i'd love to do it.. i'm pretty sure i can do 150 easily though lol.. hell i do that on the highway! haha

You'll max out gear, mine did with little to no mods. Mark told me he hit right at 160 in the mile, but he switched to 6th and got knocked back by the headwind, so the record was set at 147.88 which was his speed when he crossed the line. You'll hit max speed lond before (if everything im saying is correct )

yep the truck is N/A with nitrous hahaha. i've done 158mph before eazy while in 5th i believe

They have a record for everything at the texas mile. even had a drag car do it I hear and it rolled across the finishline but still broke a record because no one had done it before. Im sure you will break some kind of record. DO IT!
