Mini Van Brakes ??

2004 Caravan...I need to do the rear brakes, not sure how to remove the rotors because of the Emergency brake system....is this something I need the dealer to do or is it just a matter of finding a link on how to do the R&R.....I just can't seem to find the elusive missing link

Pull those suckas off, there is nothing you have to worry about the e-brake unless the e-brake material is worn down very much. The rotors, i believe should pop right off, unless they have a bearing assembly. But you should have no worries about removing the rotors.

Like red says, chock the front tires front and back, release the e brake, and the rotor should jsut slide off bro.

My sister had a shop (not a dealership) do her rear brakes and about a year later something locked up and broke the rotors,e-brake and something else.It was a Chrysler mini-van.I think an 03.It was AWD.

She was driving at about 15 mph when it happened.Think what could have happened at highway speed.


Not trying to scare you or discourage you from doing it yourself,just throwing the info out there.(for what it's worth)
