Hi,

Maybe some of you heard about it or had the same issue.
I installed the JMB CAI and changed wires to MSD as well
as spark plugs (Rc12ECC).

I have a catch can which is not connected yet.
The two valve covers are currently without a tube, as the truck is still in my garage. I also have the tube underneath the intake manifold still on and when i turn on the engine it starts sucking air quit heavily.

It runs without missfiring, still though a bit high in rpm (1.000 going down to 800 but a little rough)

When i connect the manifold tube with one of the valve covers it starts to missfire. Doesnt throw a code but missfires.

What is the right procedure to connect the system right ?
Ever had the same problem ?

By the way, checked all my wires for correct routing as well.

Thanks for our help

Arne

Basically you are making a huge vacuum leak and PCM compensates as much as possible, then you connect to valve cover and it seems to misfire but its likely the PCM trying to compensate since again. Get your catch can setup worked out then you should be fine.

What catch can are you going to use and how are you plumbing it???

JMB Catch can.

I will plug the intake manifold now and tee the two valve covers
to the catch can.

I hope this will work.

Thanks for your help.

Lets keep our fingers crossed

It was just cyl 2 & 4 mixed up....

Took me about 5 hours to find it.

Now it runs perfectly !!!!!

Outstanding, now on to the next mod!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks,

first of all i have to get everything finished and then we are heading to the EURO SRT GTG at the famous racetrack Nürburgring !

So another nightshift before we are heading 350 mls towards south to enjoy a long weekend with about 50 - 60 SRT`S !

All the best
