mod advice...

hey all finally got my new qc home today....picked it up in london and had a 500 mile trip up to scotland and then the boat home....lovely drive....tho it needs a service now!!lol!!
anyway going to order some parts but lookin some advice...pretty much decided on a catback and cai for noise. has anyone just cut the back silencers out and replaced it with pipe?? probably a crap idea but its chaep!!
and what is this stage 2 flash everyones on about? how does it work, is it worth it and will it harm my truck?

Although I have limited practical knowledge, I've done some research and gotten good feedback from those on the board...

Magnaflow catback....also heard that you should replace the cats with high-flow as these will help with performance....a good drop-in filter is always a plus....go for the Stage 2 flash, will wake up the engine and tranny....then, get Boomer's (X-metal) drop kit and improve your handling......check out x-metal in the vendor section and give Boomer a call....

Those are the basics....after you run that for a few months and get bored, add a supercharger :rock:

For the realitively inexpensive price of the magnaflow cat back...I would buy on before you take a torch to your pipes..

A Stage II ECu (computer flash) is the single best mod for a QC...it will really wake her up....

Welcome to the RBC Irish dude!!! You gotta post some pics of your hotrod in the land of green!

Magnaflow is a must, but you can cut out your cats, and replace with just pipe. Lots of cheap power available there for you. The computor flash is a great power adder for the QC's as the others have stated.

Join in here often and let us know how its going over there with your hot rod. I cant imagine there are too many of them over there.

yeah patrick its definately the only srt in northern ireland...heard rumors of one floating around dublin in the south but have yet to see it!!
