Back in June of 2007 I cut and modified my stock air-box and passenger side air-deflector to allow for more air induction. Today I changed it up a bit. I have no idea if I gained anything from my previous setup. But I figure it didn't hurt anything to try it out.

I had another "intake boot" (piece between the throttle body and the air-box) laying around and I made use of it with this new setup. I cut a precise oval in bottom of another air-box I had sitting around. I traced the outline of the throttle body and enlarged it slightly. I wiggled and cussed and got the intake boot inserted in the bottom of the air-box. It also took some wiggling and some cussing to get the thing installed. But I got it in there! :D

PS: I'm looking for a passenger side air-deflector to complete this mod. I've got a thread created in the WANTED section. :)

Here's the result:

I may do that, except in black. I'm waiting to get another stock air-deflector before I move forward with this.

In that case, get yourself a set of these and some crinkle black paint and Wala
