MODS?

Ill be out of the military soon on disability and sitting on about 4,000 then after taxes and travel pay I should have about 13,000. I want to do some mods to my truck that arent too much of a hit on my pocket. I am planning to buy an older beater vehicle to drive around and use the SRT as a weekend driver. I want to do intake headers and exhaust, and maybe a TB upgrade. What are the best option for all of these. I know most are based upon what I want, but I would like to know what you all think is the best bang for the buck that yields the best power. As far as the exhaust, I want it loud enough to rattle the windows of the little rice burners I leave in my rear view mirror.Thanks

Tony, first of all a catback is a must, magnaflow is the best bang for buck. Losing the cats yields another 25 or so to the rear wheels for cheap. Fantastic sound as well. Headers are not a must mod. While they will add bling, the stockers do flow very well and headers are not cheap. Since you have a RC, you should consider Boomers x metal drop and shifter upgrade. Buy both and get a fat discount.

Though Patrick is correct, the headers AIN'T cheap, but they do help, and they look awesome under the hood of these trucks!!!

My truck is quite mellow at cruise, but when it hits about ~3,500 rpms, it absolutely screams!!! :adore: :evil: :afraid: :driver: :rofl: God I love the way this thing sounds now!:rock:

I would get the bellanger w/catless mids and Manga flow. tHis should be plenty loud enough for you. An CAi intake is also rec AS THEy also help with more noise top it off with dc flash and you'l have high 12 sec potential

cooll thanks guys I'll look into those. Im waiting till I get to MD as the shops up there are a bit better. I dont like the ones around here, Ive seen their work and Im not too impressed. ANy ideas for the PCM flash, who makes the best one?where do I get it, etc

Yeah I know. Fuggin' headers are pricey, and you can get 'most' of the power by dumping the cats,, but they do add some HP, and they do look soooo much saweeter than those rusty old manifolds!:rock:
