Moisture in headlight housing

Bought some clear-corner headlights from e-bay over a year ago and now they have water in one of them.Just after placing my order I saw another e-bay ad for virtually the same thing BUT that one said they DON'T have the moisture problems of other brands.Looks like I bought too soon.


Any ideas on how to prevent this from happening again after I dry it out ? I am thinking clear silicone on all the joints/seams.


How can I stop the same thing from happening to my factory fog lamps ? Silicone ?


Anyone else have this problem ? Looks like s**t when like this.

I have same problem in my Ford trucks. I drill two 1/16" holes in the plastic

Steve has a good fix... (I had the same problems with my Furds, and that's what I did.... :dontknow: )

But, it seems like you got shaft-ed with shitty aftermarket headlights, Bro.

I would let them sit out in the sun, on a nice shiny day and let the condesation bake out of them..... Then, silicone the piss outa' them.

Take em off,remove the bulbs and try a blow dryer!!

Thanks for all the tips.I took the bulbs out and set the housings in front of a fan over night.Had water spots INSIDE this evening !!!!!! Took extra long gun cleaning q-tips and used a little rubbing alcohol then dried them.Finally got them looking good.Silicone on all seams.Hope to have no more issues from now on.

Silicone and use a heat gun to seal it.

If these get moisture inside again i will give them to someone and buy new ones and seal them extra well before installing them
