Ok, its August 1st, time for our monthly high horsepower update. Quite a bit of action/drama has been going on since the last thread for some of us. Let get updates on those vehicles that have superchargers/turbos/twin turbo's.
I'll start with mine. As you all know I had a horrific day at Bandimere with high 14 second times. I've talked to Dan at DC and he thinks the WOT timer delay is causing my problems in the first few gears at WOT. They've documented a similar situation on the dyno with their supercharged trucks.
I've run some software that uses the trucks weight/height/width/drag coef/tire size/tire mass/gears/track elevation/temp/humidity/ etc. For Brokes truck the program nailed his time/mph when compared to his actual timeslip. The program suggested my truck would or should run a 12.8-13.5. The 12.8 was for a supercharged application with 670 hp/660tq. The 13.5 was for naturally aspirated application.
Anyway, EBAY auction ends tomorrow and it doesnt look like it will sell. If not, I'll be ordering the computer and adding the flash and thermostat through Dan hoping this will take care of the issue. I'm guessing I should notice a fairly dramatic increase in power before and during the boost stage around and above 3000-3500 rpm. If this works, I'll be keeping the truck and hoping to get back to Bandimere on a test and tune night to hopefully get my times at least into the 13's.
Whos next?
