Mopar Nationals 07- Tent Count

I think Eddie will be in on the tent but they are traveling. What happened to all the trucks on the initial list? Stinker quit whining and pay up, this is the VTCOA tent. If you need a spot under the tent I will give you mine!!!:D

I spoke with Eddie, Fstjack , Boomer, and a few others, as you know, the tent is actually small and hard to get into.

What a few thought is possibly, now think about it:D why not purchase, or rent , one large tent, holda a drawing , or do a pick for 4-5 trucks a day they can stay under the tent and then circle the rest of the trucks around in front.

But we could put a few trucks under the tent, and then everyone bring lawn chairs and the cooker, tables , fans, and have a cool ass dig under the tent:rock:

Maybe tables with VTCOA t shirts that Jack could bring, and VTCOA stuff SLH could bring, Boomer some of the bling he makes.

It was Actually Edddies idea, but that way we could have a great showing.

Plus if everyone got involved the tent would be tons cheaper for everyone, instead of people like me cryin becuz he paid over a hundred bucks last year to park under a tent for 6 hours:D

What's wrong with the tent like we had two years ago? We had about 10 or so trucks under that thing. Easy in and out. What gives?:dontknow:

Dont know bro, but last year it was a real hard task to get in and out of the tent.

But if we got like twenty trucks this year there will be no way we can fit all them under the tent, so why not jsut figure on how many people is going.....let everyone chip in, then its a ton cheaper on everyone, more room, and whoever wants to park under it can.

but this way we got a few tables of VTCOA wears, room for resting, relaxing, the keg, and for the women and chillen:D

Hey its up to ya'll, I know Eddie didnt want to pay for jsut a spot under the tent either.

But figure if we got 40 peeps goin the tents cost $2000 then thats only $50 a person.

As I said in earlier posts, I'm working to get us a tent with a 'door' or frame large enough so we don't have to angle tent stakes to get the trucks in and out. I enjoyed doing that as much as everyone else, but it's an easy aspect to fix.

It's not a terrible idea. But even with 4-5 trucks, and all those people, we're gonna need a fairly large tent. Also, there's probably a rental charge for tables, and we might need to upgrade to to the Swap Meet/Vendor area if we do something like that.

August sun is no joke when it comes to heat here, and with a black vehicle (like many have), a little shade goes a LONG way. Won't it be funny to see NowWhat in all his rain gear sweating his ballz off as we enjoy the cool shade of the tent? :) "Better keep that stuff on, Mike. It's gonna rain any minute now...."

I paid almost $200 and spent Sat. and Sun. with my truck in the cool shade of the tent.
That was with only about 15 people, and a few who flaked out (so those of us who did get tent space got to pick up the slack).

I agree that it's nice to have trucks out in the open area in front of the tent showcasing and 'announcing' our area, but I also believe that the majority will want to be under the tent.

It's been saying that all summer. Same thing every day.

In the last 6 months, we haven't had more than 1 hour of rain.
Less than 10 of those little drizzles too.
It's so dry here, people now get British humor.

My lawn will probably have to be re-sod'd next summer. It's almost completely dead (despite my efforts to save it).

Bring your rain gear, and your flying monkeys. :D

I'm n for whatever bro, jsut dont really care if my truck gets hot as long as I have shade:D

we need more people to chime in tho, at least to whom wants under the tent

I'm thinking it would be better to have all the peeps under the tent. The trucks are supposed to shine in the sun anyway.

Just put in for the time off at work. Pending approval I am hoping to be there. Hopefully by then Ill have my exhaust and window tint done :). Also I may be able to get some good hotel rates if I am able to attend as I have family that works for Hilton. gotta love the $29 friends and family rate :)

....... my oppinion on this year does not matter. But for the two years prior it was a pain in the ass getting into it, as well as back out of it. You'll need the shade thats for sure. I just remember how much work it was trying to get in and out to race.....almost not worth trying to move all day. I did not like the fact that while the visitors walked around our trucks...they were walking trough our little vtcoa city. Please note....some of the owners are not as big as last years guys....maybe there will be more room :)
.....either way, you'll have a great time....save 50 to 75 bucks and put it towards buying a picture of your trucks at the track.

I don't care if my truck is in the shade or not. But I at least want a spot for me to chill and make fun of all you losers. I like the idea of having a tent for all the people and just spots in front for the trucks.

Just peeps in the tent is fine with me, we just need to get there around 8 am to park in the area in front of the tent because Saturday it fills up fast. I hope to have the Coronet back together by then and I am bringing the Rhino which anyone can use if they need it to haul parts, etc. Last year the tent was 2400.00 I think and you can get a bunch of folks under it. I will do whatever the majority wants to do. I would like to be able to park the Rhino in the tent at night though.

Agreed, the front grassy area we need to take over. I don't mind my truck in the sun and me in the shade with the babes again.
