why not use the tent for everything

someone bring tables so we dont have to rent them.

someone bring a cooker

everyone will have cooolers and drinks

everyone can bring their own chair.

Now we have food, a way to cook it, drinks , seats, and a table.

and anyone NOT racing or doing the track deal, and does not plan to move there truck ALL day! and NOT LEAVE EARLY!! can park under the tent.

but I still think everyone going should pitch in on the tent, its only fair.

I would rather spend $50 a person to be able to get into the shade, sit, and eat comfortably.

but you gotta admit, some left early, causing movment of all trucks, some were in and out all day, then when we did the track thing it was all over again

All we have to do to secure the grasssy area is someone bring caution tape, a few cones or mater sticks and rope off the area.

With this many people it sure dont seam like alot are chiming in:dontknow:

$50 x 50 "people" = $2500. That's enough for (1) large tent.
That's 40 x 180, or approx. 10-12 trucks and people behind the trucks.
Remember: we're expecting 40-50 trucks this year.

You'll have to remind me of this one. I don't remember moving my truck when anyone left.

Again, you'll have to remind me of who was in and out all day. I remember going there, finding my spot, parking all day, then leaving. I don't remember any one going in and out of the tent multiple times during the day (save for the FunRun).


As I stated THREE TIMES before, I am working on getting a tent with MUCH EASIER ACCESS IN AND OUT.

No tent is fine and dandy until you get in your black truck that's been baking in the sun all day. At 7PM it's...ummm...warm.

Personally I don't care; my truck runs rain, sleet, snow. The weather doesn't phase me. Some owners, however, won't let anything other than spring water touch their rides after they get them off the trailer (no names, please). If we do "People Only" tents, you'll never hear the end of it from those who want their truck under one.

And what about the late comers who get left out of the tent option? They *MUST* park in the field?
What about those who change their minds once they realize it's 90F outside and don't want to roast their truck for 2 days?

The other option is to do (2) smaller tents: one for trucks; one for people. This would mean that the truck tent would be VERY limited space-wise.

I guess I need to draw out some options and put it to a vote. Give me 24 hours. Thanks folks.

Good idea, but we should also clear this with the organizer as well....just to be on the safe side.

ill be there fellas, im up for whatever. my reasoning for what me and stink was talking about was trying to get 50 to 100 folks in a place to eat will be impossible. i figured it would be easier to grill some burgers and dogs there then go to brice or heath. i up for anything but its not a big deal if i get under the tent or not. mine is used to the sun. hell it been in the 90's for the last two months with 100 percent humidity down here so its like the fall up there in ohio. im bringing a table and some chairs, figured i would get a weber once i get there to grill off of. we do need to take over the grass in front of the tent this year dont think it will be a problem with who all is coming. ill be there thursday night sometime. leaving here wednesay night.
