Mopar Nats '08

WOW Kevan, all of this recognition is starting to make me appreciate your efforts for the Mope Nats last year as well.. :dontknow: And I wasn't even there..

What I am saying dude is for whatever you feel is a reason to stay away, like if what you did for the members here doesn't amount to anything, and thus, aren't welcomed at PCB GTG, guess again buddy! Your presence there would be excellent without a doubt. Besides, you'll get to meet up with bonified nuts... like me.:D

Well it's that time of year again. Ordered tickets this week. Anyone else going this year?

I'll be there. Do we have an unofficial spot where we'll meet? I parked in the pits with some of the FWD guys last year since I didn't get into the tent. Last time, I brought some friends, canopy, beer, grill...this time, just myself.

I'll be there but not in the truck this year. driving down in the 65 belvedere, 426cu.in. 4door thursday mourning. my son Tim will be there on wednesday with motorhome.

Not at all.
2007 worked out perfectly (and dead-on budget). I worked out *EXTREMELY* special gate access and those that attended covered the costs on the tents down to the penny. I think we all had a great time, and the 2nd tent was well worth it.

There are a couple of reasons that Nats this year will be miniscule:
- The implosion of the VTCOA earlier this year.
- I'm not producing/organizing anything for the VTCOA anymore.
- Someone's idea to have a large GTG in one corner of the country almost immediately after Nats. With gas at $4/gal, travel isn't exactly cheap so doing both events leaves many with having to choose one or the other.

We're still doing the cruises here, Tim. Brice Rd. on Fri. night; Heath on Sat. night. You're more than welcome to join us (I'd love to see my future truck again...heh heh). I've got your cell; PM me if you need mine.
No one else knows how to organize??:dontknow: :dontknow:

I'd *LOVE* to be an indian and not a chief!
If someone wants to take on the task, I'd be happy to fork over my files.

The group of folks I always travel with and us will all be on the Show Car side. We will have a red 71 Duster in the young guns section, my Cousin will have a 68 383 4 speed Formula S Barracuda in the stock A body section and the others will have a brown Challenger in the Challenger tribute section. We wil have a couple of canopies tied together somewhere in that corner. Feel free to come by and sit for a while. Looks like the weather is going to be perfect!!! A high in the upper 70's lows in the low 60's:rock:

With the times being as difficult as they are, and the fact that a lot of people are not going to the nats this year, we will be staying home also. Maybe next year, but not this year.

As far as the southeast GTG is concerned, I plain and simple can NOT get time off, that just the way it is. It's my fault and no one else's, but that is just the way it is. So I can never get my truck to that GTG, and since airfare costs double what it does to go to Orlando of Tampa, that tends to rule out that being a possibility.

One day I may get my life to be more normal. with things like time off, or a fkn vacation. But as of now NFW!

Hope to see all of you soon, Bill.

Kevan did an awesome job last time at the Nat's. everything was perfect.....

I'm in your place too Bill. Too much money for gas to drive there and back. I'm on the every other year plan. I will be there next year though. And I hope to see YOU there! :)

Stretch, come hell or high water we will be there.

Bill.

ya'll missed a great year of awesome Mopars, the Nats were as incredible as always. The Challenger display with the 09's was really cool, different drivetrains, hoods, colors, spoilers, stripes etc...should make for a large market for an awesome car. There were lots of old Challengers there too, and nothing compares to one of those with a 426 muti carbed Hemi under the hood...

I saw a few folks there from the last couple of years, and it's always great talking to other SRT/10 Owners, whether they're members here or not. I didn't get the opportunity to meet up with Kevan, which I had hoped for, but that's probably my fault for hanging out in the bars on cruise nites... I usually always stay on Brice Rd. and walk wherever I go in the evenings, leaving the Truck parked at the motel, out by the road...

I don't have any pics, but I did take my own easy-up canopy type tent and a few banners I have and set up in the same area where the Viper Trucks have been for the last 3 years, ya'll were missed, lots of folks looking for and asking about certain Trucks from years past, hopefully everyone can all meet up there again someday...

At lastly I gotta say that Mopower's son's car was incredible, I'm not sure how he did in the young guns class, but imo, he should have won hands down...

Man we had a blast!! Thanks Tim! It was good to see you and Bill again this year. Drew won 3rd place in Young Guns Modified , Mopar Muscle Magazine shot several pics of Drew and the car, plus he ran a 12.74 @107 mph. Needless to say he was pumped as was dad!!!! Heath cruise night on Friday and Saturday was smokey to say the least. Saw Kevan and hollered at him but he was cruisin and did not hear me probably.

Well we bought diesel. 1800 miles round trip, averaged 17 mpg pulling the Duster, 4.29 a gallon average. Close to 500.00 for fuel, 600.00 for motel. Being at the Nats........PRICELESS:congrats: :congrats: :congrats:
