That is amazing that Walley World has the filters, but nothing from that Evil store touches my rides.

What's the part Number. I've seen the Mopar filters but couldn't find anything that would tell me that it fits our trucks.

i think it was MO-P090 or something like that, they had a mopar application chart there.

OK, I think I found the whole part #. Mopar 5281090 Oil Filter is said to fit our trucks hence the P090 is short for this number I'm guessing :dontknow: . I'll go and check and see if the box has the complete part number on it. If it does, there won't be any left at my local Wally World. I'll stock up on them. Thanks for spreading the word.

Another Question that has probably been asked too many times,,, but why is the oil filter for our trucks so small? I would expect something MUCH bigger.
I just bought 3 from the dealer and when they handed them to me,,, I had to ask them to double check to make sure they gave me the right ones.

Mopar oil filters....

Chrysler has been using this same oil filter, 5281090 for many years now, it fits anything from a stratus up to a Viper.....Chrysler was fairly smart to do this for the last 5 or so years....the other manufacturers weren't smart enough to get all their engines built with the same oil filter and they have to stock many sizes and numbers to fit their fleets....they are usually ubout $5 at any Chrysler dealer as well.....you can also find a lot of cross referencing from other filters......several years ago, an oil filter analysis was done by a viper guy, he cut them open and everything....the Chrysler was about good BUT the wix and another brand were better, BUT for warranty protection, stay with the Chrysler one especially because of the cost...I am told that the same oil filter works for all the synthetic oils as well....my $.02:rock:

yes the part number is 5281090 and the price 4.97 is a great price. list price is 6.85 for that oil filter. i sell them for 5.50 but then you have shipping. i also did see at cosco this weekend moble 1 for 6 quarts 27.95. so this might be a good time to stock up on the oil change kits. be advisied that i bet the prices on the oil filters and the moble 1 might jump up the first of the year.

Thanks for the heads up! I will definately have to get stocked up.

I personally use the Wix filter #51515. It is larger, plus I prefer Wix filters.

Bill.

The Dealer did my first oil change and it was 97.95 + tax. You can buy mobil 1 cheap at wally world and the filter is not bad either.
