ffffffff'ing awesome.....soon the wingless will rule the forum in terms of track times! maybe the others will catch on sooner or later that all wingless trucks are at least a half second faster!

Perhaps, perhaps not....

Truck is in the final tuning stages. Had a delay because the VEC had to be upgraded to the VEC3. IAT issues with pulling timing.??? WILL BE DONE FOR DEC 8th tho!!

VEC3??? Is this out?? First I heard of it!!

Yeah.....if you have the VEC2 you can send it back to Roe and hell swap out the chip in the box and add a wire to it for IAT reading. It has new firmware and helps with alot of the original VECs bugs.

is there a pully kit commin g out or was this a one off. already have the paxton kit along with all the goodies. tuning is done by DC blower flash, will i need a vec system to be safe, or just send the DC back to get reprogramed.

The vec isnt required as the paxton comes with its own system for tuning (its name escapes me right now). Couldnt Dan adjust the IAT in the blower flash? My goal...should I still have the truck...is to take it to Dan next year for some more boost (have upgraded pistons already) and other simple things after a weekend of NASA road racing in west/southwest Utah. Since I've already driven/towed that far whats another couple hundred miles to visit the master? If your pistons are stock I wouldnt think it would be wise to go more boost then what comes stock. Not sure how much more I can go without upgrading more internals but a few pounds and a great tune should be ok.

Well the problem is that with more boost you need more fuel. On the Paxton setup its kinda maxed out. If you want to just run a smaller blower pulley and pick up about 1-1.5 lbs of boost you can do it with the PAxton fuel solution that comes with the kit. If you really want to kick it up then you will want a VEC and an aeromotive setup so you can supply the additional fuel and you can control your fuel curve with hte vec. Other setups are available but this ios the one Im using.

The problem is as Blake stated.

If some of our members are starting to step up and go for more power it is best to basically build the bottom end.

for anyone interested I can get a killer deal on a stock bore or a stroker bottom end that is virtually bullet proof, billet mains , rods, pistons, cam of your choice.

If I remember right stock bore was around 10k and stroker 13k, I would have to recheck because prices continually change. But these blocks are built by the best, all parts are coated also.

I know that seems High, but when you factor in the parts and then the labor, its an awesome deal.

10k for a sleeved block and correct internals.....this does not include head work....valve train....cam.....or labor....

you want it all say hello to $20k.....

daaaaaamn 20K on a motor is crazy!!! But hey I'd do it if I had extra cash! How much can you buy a new turnkey GM 572 for?.....620HP before the NOS!!!!! I'm thinkin droppin one of those in an old Nova for my ultimate drag car.....gonna play w/ my truck as is till then to keep me satisified!

Nowwhat is getting ahead of me also:p

What I can get ya for 10k is stock bore no sleeves, any cam, crank rods , mains, and all bearings coated, You start adding stuff up and its a good deal.

the engines I have seen you can barly turn the cranks by hand, with these they spin forever!

One of the secrets to why underground regularly makes 2-300 more hp than any other builder;) :D every time, and reliable too.

As far as heads they run $3500:D

$20k?:dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow:

i guess I got a good deal...

$3G to offset grind a crank? You don't even have to releive the block...
