Does anybody on here have a motorized front license plate holder? I unfortunately live in a state where they require a front plate:( If you have any info on one of these it would be mucho appreciated.

Motorized...as in when you get clocked going 140+mph and the popo flips the lights on....you flip your switch and hide the plates???

great idea!!!!

i want one too Todd!

I saw one in a James Bond Movie once... or maybe it was the cannonball run.... :dontknow: :p

I saw it on Cannon Ball Run :D

He also had water washable paint that turn his lambo another color after it was hosed down.

In the late 60's (ouch) I had a Shelby GT 500 that had a spring loaded front plate that dropped back to a level plane at a certain speed. I think 45 or 50 mph.

I live in a state that requires a front plate too, but they can not pull you over for just that. As long as I'm running legal they have to leave me alone. If I was to get pulled over I would get a $35 ticket, which is worth it to me. I used to have a front plate but after an accident she showed up with no front plate:D I love the front view with no plate so I will put up with the ticket.

shit, whitesnake has not had a plate since i have known him.

thats any plate, front or back.

crazy ass

I am required to have the front plate in Illinois too, but do not have them on any of my vehicles. My little civil disobedience gesture.

I would think a spring loaded mount would be all that is needed. The concept is to display it when pulled over...then put it away as soon as the man with the "heater on his hip" departs. So a simple mechanical release would be adequate.

I will take several $35 tickets before I lose any sleep over a front plate...

The police can pull you over here. 1st offense: minimum fine of $73. Lots of folks willing to pay the price.
