Tony, good luck with your move. If you have any disability issues, my cousin is a VA lawyer in the claims department. He also lives in Prince Frederick, MD. We'll put you in touch with him if needed.

I lived in Leesburg, VA for 4 years (1994-1998). Traveled up through Frederick quite a few times on my way east toward Baltimore or close to. I'm guessing Frederick is really growing...it was starting to when I left.

On the disability topic, I would also tell you to APPEAL any and all VA Medical Board decisions that you are not satisfied with.

It was my experience that they arbitrarily deny shit, knowing that most soldiers will just accept their decisions. Their way of saving money I guess.:dontknow:

The appeals reviewers seem to have a lot more sense than the first line evaluators.

....congrats on getting out and thanks for your service.

Totally concur...have appealed two VA decisions and in both instances a letter explaining my position gained approval.

Thanks for your time and service! Welcome home!

How long do you have to file an appeal? Anybody know? I prolly should appeal mine.

Thanks for your service  I'm in MD, I'm up near APG/Belair on the east side but get out to Fredrick from time to time and everytime I head out west I shoot out I-70. I'll actualy be out at with the SRT-10 at the Fredrick Best Buy one Sat or Sun in Dec, not sure when yet but you should swing by if your in the area. Welcome home!

Thanks guys. I unfortunatley fall into the category of lower back pain. I was diagnoised with lumbar disc diseaese. Which I was hoping for over 30%. But the Army has Developed a new system with all the soldiers getting out mostly for back pain, which in turn gives us no more than 10%. I spoke to several other veterans who had recently been discharged who were offered the same disability and appealed it. They said it was a waste of time and for me to move on. I have not heard from the VA as of yet. I am hoping they offer more. Thanks again Everyone Have a Safe and Happy Holiday:)

Welcome home and Thank You for sacrificing what you have. I lived in Maryland (Havre De Grace) for 1 1/2 years and loved the fact that you could be on the beach or in the Mountains within 2 hours.

Your right around the corner from me, I think I've seen you buzzing around once in a while, I'm down in Belair/Edgewood. I've been seeing a Yellow Fever QC alot the past two weeks.

Maryland and Rhode Island are pretty small states.......

You can take a taxi to and from anywhere in the state for 35 cents......plus tip.

I was reading the other day about a terrible traffic jam in Rhode Island, had traffic across the state backed up!

Apparently the blinking yellow traffic light in the middle of the state burned out!!!:D

Yeah not durring rush hour! Traffic in the MD/DC area is rated 2nd only to NYC for the most congested traffic and longest travel times. A drive that would normaly take you 20 mins can take an hour and 30 durring rush hour, its crazy. Luckly I travel so much I'm not realy home enough to have to deal with it
