Oh, come on, it is a TRUE CLASSIC :D :D :D :p :p :D

I had a feeling this thread would take this turn eventually. Lets see.....happened within 21 posts. Nope, not a new record. :(
I thought Yetti's had furry flutes.:dontknow:

For everyone's amusement,.... here are pictures from one of "The Roosters" gigs. I am third from the left and play a Guild D-25, I purchased in 1979. It has a sweet brilliant tone. I am currently using Elixir custom light (.11) phospho-bronze nanoweb strings. (guitar not pictured, circa 1980's sunburst Fender Telecaster) PS, This was a fundraiser for St. Judes Childrens Hospital, they asked us to wear the event specific T shirts. (we have the gig next year too, if anyone wants to attend)

Wow... Hey Joe...!

I have a D-25M (moulded back) exactly like yours... Exact color and everything... (go back to post number 10 and look at the first picture... It's again 3rd from the left on top)

I got in 1979-80... Traded it for a hundred bucks and a gram of coke... (yikes) I used that guitar to lead worship in church for over 10 years ('84-94) and it's one of my very best..... The sound is really great... I really flashed when I saw yers..... We're both lucky to have one....

I've been offered considerable sums for it when guys have heard the sound and played it..... I just keep tellin' 'em...., "My wife might sell it to ya after I'm dead"......

Cheers....

I thought that was one hanging on the wall when I saw it in your studio pic. Mine is an "M" as well. I think that is why it projects so well. YOu are right. As far as the sound goes, I have played alot of guitars and can't find one with this sound quality. I thought is was my imagination.

By the way, do you see any universal balance between the fact that you played a church gig with a guitar, mostly traded for blow? A sort of "yin yang thang"

I have played Trumpet, Sax and Cornet and not very well  :D I can personally attest to Silent D's singing prowess. He has sung to me a couple times on the phone....Sorry for saying something about that Timmy  But I rather enjoyed the Hell out of it :D :p

I want Tim to sing to me before I die:rock: . If we never get that chance, he can sing at my funeral :D :D :D :elefant:

The best part is that I told everyone who asked me (exactly) how I obtained it...lol...was quite an ice breaker at church functions..... and yes I do see a balance...and hopefully (with the passage of time) a little elevation in consciousness if all goes right..

Mr. Miyagi sleeps under my bed..... I keep hearing him say, "...in everything you must'a make a balance"......;)

Cool.. I didn,t know you played at woodstock?:D :D

I guess I could add to this. Started playing accordion ( yes Accordion!)
when I was 5 . Took up guitar in HS and played lead with a rock band for awhile . Mostly into guys like Hendrix Page Clapton Mclaughlin Fripp. But always had apassion for jazz. Guys like Wes, Pass and afew others I cannot remember. Eventually I took up piano studied with a local jazz pianist here in the NYC area Tardo Hammer and attended alot of workshops downtown with Barry Harris. Mainly into music of Monk Miles and John Coltrane
