My 10 in the 1/8th mile at Homestead

Just wanted to post my first video of the 10. Took it this past Friday. Nothing to brag about, just thought it would be cool. I had a bunch of runs that night, but this video was the funniest, actually. The poor guy had no clue of what he was running against. He had a choice between my 10 and a hemi charger. He said that he thought his 2500 with chip, exhaust and intake, had a better chance of beating a truck, rather than a charger. Who was I to argue? :dontknow: Needless to say, now he knows what an SRT 10 is. I did have a great kill against a new body style Supercharged Rousch Mustang, but the wife must have been sleeping on that run and didn't tape it. I do have a member here as a witness, Justin (2ndchance) was a police officer working the track that night.

Nice run steve! Was it a diesel or gas? Woulda loved to see the Roush race...my neighbor got the blue one with white stripes...

It was gas. There are a couple pretty quick diesel's out there. Yeah, I would have loved to see the Roush race again too. :mad:

Is the track prep any good for slicks? I don't see a waterbox for the burnouts and it looks like they are doing straight arm drop racing which means no times correct? Just wanna know before I go.

They have a waterbox in the left lane, which both cars can go through. Cars seem to hook up okay. Lots of cars have slicks and DR. I'll have my DR's this week. Supposedly, tree and timing units are on their way. I didn't think I would like the whole arm drop thing, but it's pretty cool. They have a pretty good turn out and a large variety, over 100 cars every Friday. You need to get your truck out there. It would make quite an impression. Hell, my truck gets head turns and stares as I'm driving down the return lane. I can imagine what they would do when they see a blown one.

Oh yeah, they also let participants park in and use the Nascar/Indy car garages. Makes it much easier to change out wheels, open your hood and even put a fan in front of your truck.

Maybe I'll head out with this Friday. I'll need to get my oil changed before I go though. I'll let you know if I can make it via PM

I wont be in town this Friday. Planning on going Friday the 7th or the 14th. If you can make either of those, let me know. I definitely want to go when you go. Maybe we can get Justin (2ndchance) and Roger (kickinassrt-10) out there. Yeah, that's right. I'm calling you to out, again. :D

That would actually work better for me. I'll be on vacation next week and plan on finishing up some work I've been doing to the truck. I'll shoot you a PM when next week to confirm.
