Don't really want to get into the whole story but both my Dad, our Assistant Fire Chief, and our City's Assistant Police Chief were both responding to a wreck and got tangled up with each other. Most of Dad's damage was from the large tree he was knocked into. He had his seatbelt on! Thank God! No one was injured! I feel very blessed today. It didn't help that it was raining. He was driving his old Ford because his RAM 3500 is having some paint work done on it.

I was already on scene at the first crash we were sent to until dispatch called and said that I needed to divert to the second one. I didn't know why until I pulled up on it.

As everyone else has stated, thank God they are all okay.

I have to assume it's pretty unnerving to pull up to a accident and find out you have family members involved.

Glad to hear everybody is OK! Looked like a pretty hard hit your dad took. If he isn't feeling it now he will be tomorrow:mad:

man I am happy to hear that all partys involved are ok,,,,but with that said I have to laugh at the police crusier.. I am curious to hear how they hit each other...

Well we were dispatched to a wreck, vehicle vs tree with injuries. The first call said it was in the city limits so the city police officer was dispatched. Small town = 1 cop on duty at all times. LOL! So he headed north about the same time my Dad headed north. There was one car between Dad and the cop car. Well the cop learned that the wreck was not in the city limits so he decided to turn left on the last road to the left that is still considered inside the city limits. As he turned left, Dad had already made the decision to pass him and he turned into Dad's right front fender causing Dad's truck to drift to the left and strike a pecan tree.
