My Dog Champ

I ended up having to take my 22mo Boxer Champ
(who I had since he was 5weeks) to the emergency vet clinic last night. I've started my new job with the GA Ports Authority Police Dept, and yesterday I had to work from 11 to 8, well I get home and let Champ out and as i walk in i see the carpet on the stair is pulled back and the foam is missing under the carpet. I walk out side to scold him and hes just laying there like snore breathing and barely responsive. I looked at his gums and their pale as a ghost. We take him to the clinic, wedding fund jar in hand as i was prepared to pay anything to get him the treatment he needed. They did xrays, got him stoned and made him puke, for a very high dollar amount lol. Hes doing better now. I think the wierdest part of all is everyone seeing this giant of a man bawling his eyes out hahaha. But if you know me and how much I love that dog you'd understand.

I guess why I posted is cause you guys are my family and I wanted to keep yall updated on whats happening in my life. I am also asking that when you guys read this take a second and just think about whats important in your life and what you cant stand to lose. Is it friends, family, your pet, maybe even Stinker??? We all know its not Troy or Steve lol... But then take a minute when you get the chance and show them you care. Call em or give them a hug, scratch behind the ears, and their favorite treat. Champs is string cheese....

No they aren't. Had to use one to have Charlie put to sleep last month. You wouldn't believe what they charged.

Glad to hear that Champ is doing ok now. They're just like children, at least in my house.

I just had to get rid of my boxer 3years old had him since 8 weeks. . ..he was growling at my daughter i hired a trainer and it continued then he snipped at her. I found him a good home in philly. I miss him but cant risk it. . I seen what happened to that guy from ax men. . His rottie killed a 4 year old makes you think a lil
 
Yea he's a great dog and really smart. But he is a boxer and they are know to be trouble makers. This place I went to was really really expensive... Let's just say I won't be getting that seafood table at the wedding

Bro man , for one thing , I isnt going anywhere less the man upstairs or downstairs wants me or the wife catches me LOL

but man he is a great dog buddy , very loving:rock:
but I feel ya pain bo, I know the feeling, but hopefully he will be ok, most likly he may have eat something or maybe got bit?

either way man good deal buddy, glad the master is doing a ton better buddy:rock:

Fucker!!! You say this now, after I shipped out your stuff. Haha, you better hope I didnt put rocks in the box. :D Glad to hear Champ is doing good. I know you were pretty worried last night.
 
As I was reading your account I couldn't help but getting emotional. I was prepared for the bad news. I'm so glad that the docs could help yer boy, Champ.

We grow so close to those we see in our homes every day... and to those who love us. My situation reminds me of that every moment of every day.

Your story has truly touched my heart.

Go get 'em, Champs.......

Thanks D for the heart felt response. Before my little guy I was never a dog person or much less openly affectionate. Coming from a military backround and all.
 
Aww man sorry to here about Champ brother but good to here he's up and probably already jumping on everyone again! I tell yall Champ is one busy Boxer! he can't sit still and always want to play! I love him, except for when its time to work on the truck and he still wants to play!

And I hate you for being Fat!

Our animals are a gift from God.........

They get inside of our heads and hearts........

When they die, a piece of us does, too...... It fkn hurts......

Give that boy a treat from old Django...... maybe even a little "behind the ear" massage.....;) :itsme:

Hope Champ continues to improve!

No rant here, but consider crate training...read about the benefits for both the dog and the owners. It can be a life saver...the dogs are fine with it...training the owner is the hard part....:p :D
 
get a huge cage/crate to protect hims while you are gone - it sounds like a bad case of separation anxiety and it will go away in time, but to keep him safe get one of those big metal collapsing cages they sell in Petsmart
 
I was also prepaired for bad news good this your dogs is gonna be fine!.... o and BTW stinkers my hero he should run for president!! lol
 
yea guys... he actually does have a huge crate, and we just recently started leaving him out cause he was being a good boy lol... But He's back to the crate when we're gone for his safety and our sanity... Thanks again guys... and D, i did what you said buddy.

Troy, Steve, and Stink... aka STIVROY you guys know that I would give yall the shirt of my back... thats why i had to give you a shout out in my post
