I agree with what someone else said...age is a factor. Old dogs don't heal well (having went through the same ordeal). If that is not a factor, and the cancer is localized, then rename your dog "Tripod" and schedule the surgery ASAP before it does spread.

I would agree on the age thing...less than 8-10 depending on the breed. Big dogs don't live that long so an 11 year old large breed is pretty old.

i havent posted about this earl and i'm sorry

if u have a year left with ur dog maybe more then take it,i wished there was more i could do for my last dog ,he was a fighter and i miss him still to this day.

if i hadnt tried everything ,i know it would have bothered me.

cherish everyday u have left with ur dog ,it will help in his passing that will eventually come

We both know that they both have lived a good life, but knowing that someday soon, one or the other will pass on. I will dread the day it happens.
