My JMB CAI and catch can arrived today...

How much time should I expect to spend installing this unit? Justin did a great job on this kit and sent it quickly as well, however, there are quite a few more pieces/parts than I expected. It's going to look great after install, however, I'm not even sure if I can do it (lots of tools here but amateur level knowledge) :confused: . Should I just jump right in? Any advice would be appreciated... thanks!
 
An hour and a half, roughly. Familiarize yourself with the orientation of the parts before you begin tearing into the stock intake. The installation is straighforward and does not require fancy tools, just basic ones. Best of luck, be sure to take pretty pics :D
 
yea about an hour and a half,once you get the oem cai off it goes real quick.
 
An hour and a half? I think I can handle that... don't get me wrong, Justin sent great instructions on how to do the install along with pics, etc. and I would recommend this kit to anyone. It is just a little more intimidating than I expected. I'll give it a shot and take some pics too.
 
Look at your vent lines.Gotta plug the one under the throttle body.Not a hard job.Take your time.The driver side vent took me some time to figure out best route to take.it looks great when she's in, enjoy!!
 
Read the instructions a couple times and familiarize yourself with the parts and pieces and you'll be fine. An hour (a couple of beers:beer: )with a cooled engine. I couldn't believe how much meaner mine sounded after I put the JMB CAI and catch can in. I don't know if I want to put headers on now because of how loud it is. It does sound awesome though! Lot's of bling under the hood too. Have fun with the instal and enjoy!:rock:

Real good info. Watch the lines underneath, don't grab the Throttle Body hose...

It is awesome seeing it running...and knowing the oil vapor is not going back into the engine. And it looks soooo hot to boot. My new engine's oil pressure is so much higher than before...I am sure the JMB mod helps.

Thanks guys...the Viper tech decided to paint it because it would have looked like pooo. I think I will take it a part later and clear coat it as well.

I want this set of mods, can somebody chime in and tell me which powder coat option matches the factory valve covers?
 
The "glossy wrinkle red" is very similar in color and texture, the "gloss red" is the same color, but without the texture.
