I LOVE Drag Racing!!! Grew up at the track helping uncle ( I thought at 7 years old) change from street tires to slicks and uncap headers on a '61 Dodge Phoenix with a 413 and a LLLLONG Ram intake with two AFB'S over the valve covers!

It's hard to think that so many years have gone by. It reminds me of when I used to race my '65 GTO at Orange County International Raceway('79 thru '83). Now a days the only way to experience Nostalgia Drag Racing is at the "California Hot Rod Reunion" in Bakersfield Ca. It's a long ways off till Oct. though. I guess I'll have to go for a quick Blast through the gears in my truck. It's still not the same as good old "Grudge Night" at "OCIR" racing my Goat!

It may be old school now, but it is still 375 hp and 495 ft lbs torque. Far more than anything else for quite a while! Attached is an engine picture from 1 of my '61 Chrysler 300 G's. I know, it's not the 500 hp that my SRT has, but I can't help but think that it played an important role in bringing us the toys of today.
