Some of you have heard me say that I am really busy with my Kitchen Remodel project so I thought I would share some pics of the progress.

As you will see from the pics, the kitchen is small, dark and OLD! This was by far the part of the house that needed the most upgrading! We have been going pretty much room by room through the house fixing it up. It's not a big (1100 SF) house, and it's not fancy or pretty, but it's ours and we are working on making it home!

I have some pics of the living room upgrade too! (At the bottom)

Small kitchens mean lost of clutter due to lack of storage. We are hoping that by adding some cabinets to the back wall, we can reduce the clutter!

First step was to remove the tiles. Unfortunately, that also means replacing all of the sheetrock in the kitchen. (The contractor will be here in about an hour and a half to get started.

Next step, remove the contents and attempt to find room for it! Good thing I am alone in the house right now!

This is the light that will go in the center of the room.

The sheetrock is getting replaced!

I was going to put the track light in there, but I think I have changed my mind, and will put in 6" Cans with these trim rings:

Photobucket is down right now, I will post a couple more pics when they come back up.

The guys that are doing my sheetrock have actually done some work on Ken Griffey Jr's 30,000 SF house in Windermere!! They tell me it actually has two lanes of bowling on the ground floor!
30,000 SF!!! :eek::eek::eek: I wouldn't be able to afford the electric bill!!!!:eek:
