i lived in a $40,000 700sqft house until 4 years ago, because all i could afford was a mortage and tires for my race bike! those planes would be like doing crack, a little now, then your hooked for good!

You learn to fly real good real fast or you cant afford the hobby:D

Planes are second to me I only have 3 giant scale right now, my true love are helicopters,I have 6 which is kinda in inbarrasing now that I see it in writing.
I have an electric that I carry in my truck and can fly on my lunch hour and it can do all that my big ones can do(inverted, rolls, tic tocs, loops) and anything else you have the balls for:idea:

my goal is to some day learn to fly a helicopter, thats my dream, i really dig them. if i was to get a RC anything, it wuld have to be a Helisopter, no doubt. got any pics?

PDR-GUY---that is awesome.....there is a RC (planes) club less than 2 miles down the road from me......my daughter and I watch them every once in awhile.....very neat and thanks for sharing....bikertat

That guys is insane!!! We've got some local club guys here that are pretty good pilots. I've tried to fly heli's with my controller and my Real Planes PC trainer...I SUCK.

I used to fly a lot. Have Cap232 120, a 120 piper cub, zagi and a couple 60s trainers. Just don't get a chance to fly them with all the kids and the job etc.

For that reason I put them all in the paper and I'm building a couple foams this week with my son cause we can fly them right here. First rule...regular CA will not work on foamies....don't ask me why i know why ;)

Hahaha - funny you mentioned that ;) Jerry and I used to fly RC planes in the 90's. We had fairly basic stuff. I had a midwing plane called a Nuttin Special with a (hmm I wanna say Super Tiger 75 on it) and I ended up crashing it. But I did figure out the meaning of "stall"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did much better with my Eagle high wing trainer plane. It was covered in white monokote with Circus Pink trim on it. It had a Clarence Lee .60 engine .:D It was also set up with some big old floats so I could brave Lake Havasu and other water holes . I could also take it out to our local dry lake and fly there. What a BLAST..................... :dancing:

Jerry built a Bud Nosen with an 8' wingspan and a 1 quart gas tank:eek:. It had about 48" floats on it. He had several different planes.

Do you have any pics Wifey. Would love to see them all...

Nice!! My dad is into the big (1/4 and 1/3 scale) planes. I fly also, but haven't in a while. Here a few old pics of my last plane. It's hanging on the wall in the garage. It's a Thunder Tiger 40.

I'm also into R/C gas cars. Have a Nitro TC3 with a bunch of billet and titanium upgrades.

I have a couple of cars and trucks, but never got into flying. The RealFlight PC simulator convinced me that it would be too expensive, although the crashes would probably be pretty spectacular.

Awesome vids. I've always wanted to fly R/C but like a couple of the other guys here I have other hobbies that are too damn expensive. I could see it now "Well honey I only need about 10 grand to get started   "
