So I have read all the threads about how its only for looks and sound, but I swear I can actually feel the difference! It feels like my shift points have raised some, not the red line just where my motor shifts at when I step on it. My motor also is much louder I feel. It makes a much deeper roar when I step on it. Is it just my imagination or has anyone else experienced the same thing?

I may be crazy but I am going to hold out for the Mopar.... Over priced, I know but I love the looks...

i think the Draw back of the K&N is the filter i'm going to put a AFE filter on mine

K&N is awesome I've had one on every car I've owned.....I didn't notice shift points...louder and throatier yes, improved throttle response also!

whats wrong with the k&n filter?

nothing really i just want to go with a dry filter that all i have to do is throw in the washer and hang it up for an hour or 2 and then can drive 60k miles on one filter.. and the AFE Filter flows better than the K&N and filters more

Seems like we have some dyno data somewhere that shows little or no gain from the K&N CAI...more (1-2HP) was gained from a drop in K&N.......if you plug in a data logger you will see the K&N CAI actually raises intake temps...the stock box keeps the air 10-30 degrees cooler.....here is an alternative to the K&N panel drop in filter (30 second modification required);) ....

Well I just sold my drop in and to be honest, I didnt notice ANY difference, in throttle response, sound, anything???? With the CAI I actually notice the difference.

The sound is probably making your butt dyno over state.;) ..but of course you could be gaining some ponies...you dont have some before track or dyno data do you?

i went from running 14's with the stock to 13.3 with the k & n:rock:

What other mods did you install, what temps, at the same track, many things can change the time.

But the ONLY change is a drop-in to a K&N and droping that much I have to say....:bs:

I Have run
1. stock
2. K&N drop in (no appreciable difference)
3. Volant (good bling and good sound from 3rd on up)
4. Mopar ( $$$ good bling, best sound when getting on it )
5. JMB (great bling, I like the catch can integration no real sound difference)
I will stay with the JMB but the Mopar gave the best sound and SOTP performance feel and really well built.
