Topic beaten to death I'm sure.

I only need 2 tires since my front Perelli Scorpion 305's are almost brand new.

I found the stock 305 Perelli Scorpions for $169 on tirerack, or 1010tires, one of the two. Pretty damn reasonable I thought!

Should I just buy them or is there something WAY better for cheaper that will match my current Perelli's.

Thanks!

You are best off not to mix tire brands, so I would go with the Perelli's again.

Also, Tire Rack:rock:  is a forum sponser. Buy from them as they support us.

Thanks, and I agree. I'm leaning in that direction by %90....Unless someone can show me a tire that performs and wears better for around the same price (i.e. NOT $300 freakin' dollars a tire.) :D Keeping the same ones will let me rotate them.

Forget it....I'm going with Silverback's suggestion.

I'm sure the Perelli's are fine for the street and with the poor traction these trucks have, the ability to rotate is priceless.

Good price, but just the same as the Perelli's...Is there a performance difference?
i can assure you they arent the same as the perellis. being one of two members that drives my truck all year and living in indiana, ive driven in the snow and rain with the perellis and the avons and the avons are superior for tractions and balance.

Good decision despite where you got the data from...If you have two good Scorpions, get two more...and as you go thru them make a decision about your next set of four. In case you haven't noticed...there is an engineering error...the rear tires seem to wear much faster than the front:dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow: :burnout:

Engineers do not make errors.

They make opportunities for other engineers to perfect things.;) :D :p

Opps, the slide rule (some of you don't know what that is) slipped!

I never thought they would be....Since I live in Chicago and will drive all winter like you, you're making this difficult for me now. :D

I just put the General UHP's on last week and found they ride alot better and perform better in the rain then the perelli's but like Silver and Prof said, It's not good to mix tires so I'd go with the stock tires for now. I considered the Avon's but read they weigh 10 lbs heavier then the stock and General tires. The Generals also were rated better in the Tirerack rain test compared to the Avon's.

I've been leaning towards the bfg g-force t/a. Does anyone have any input on these?

My friend had some on his saturn and said that the tires were only good
for burnouts... keep in mind his car is FWD and can do a burnout with
little to no mods...FWD...

Anything has got to be better than the Pirelli's in the rain.I am considering these for my next set.Just exactly what do you mean by "ride a lot better" ?

I just put those on mine to. It is amazing how much better the ride is. Have yet to test it as it has been to cool to play.
