That was a new Z06...not many of us can stick with them...same hp, 2000 lbs less weight.

You must ship the shifter now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Silverback, your taste is flawless, just like mine...very few get culled these days.

that is ffffing awesome!!!! sweet vid. i wish we had some races like that around here where a passanger can ride along and a hot flag girl like that!!!! what were your times that day?

The g-tech was giving me 14.69-14.88 at 100-101.5 mph. The speedometer seemed to back that up. I missed a shift to 2nd with the Monte Carlo and 3rd with the prior generation Z06. The Z06 also missed 3rd gear. The Z06 was running around 105 mph.

I wanted to play with the Z06 just so I could show (hopefully) how close it could/may have been with a car of its stature. If I didnt miss a shift it would have been close. Put some real tires on the truck and a good launch plus the shift we possibly could have been neck to neck. I knew you guys would like the race and I didnt want it to seem like I was beating up on the competition. If I had Zex's 11.65@119 I would have likely had the top speed at the event :)

sweet video,,

but im a little confussed. 14.69 in a blow paxton truck ?

Your truck sounds awesome. As for times, you cant really compare to a real track. It was a runway with no prep. Take your truck to a track and you'd be way faster. Boomers shifter is really a must. Mine is out now since I have been going to the dealer for this oil leak BS and I actually blew second gear yesterday!! I didtn think that was possible! The stocker sucks.

Bandimere is having "truckfest" a week from this coming sunday. I'm gonna try and take the truck to the track and get some more realistic times. I agree the times seem slow but for comparison the Z06 ran 2-3 mph faster then me so if the G-tech was giving me mid 14s he was probably in the high 13s or low 14s. I was also shifting at 6K...I need to bring it down to 5500 rpm. When I reached the "1/4 mile" mark I was pushing 3rd to 6K. I can bring a few more mph if I shift a bit earlier and get into 4th sooner. The truck really started to take off once I got into 2nd and especially 3rd gear above 3500 rpm when the boost comes on.

Nope - Look again. It was the last Gen ZO6 w/ 405hp. Still a mid to low 12 sec car - stock.

Nice runs. Looks like fun. Next time tell the camera guy to get some 'rearview' shots of that starter girl!:D
