My Z06 broke again :(

I've been looking for a Z06 like yours...wanna race? Let's run three or four times, so I can get even with the Z06 world!

should be a quick fix, Chevy overnighted a new engine to my dealership.

Sprite you have a great car there, actually one of the best in the world, everything from Ferrari's on have problems bro, at least with the gm it can be a tad less expensive to fix. ... Keep it and enjoy the ride, I dont think in the long run you will be happy with the lambo, but thats my 2 cents on it.
So true, Stinker. That's why EVERY car dealership also has a busy repair shop.
From a Gallardo owner:

I have owned the car only a couple of weeks.

Delivered with minor faults - one touch up on the passenger window faulty, indicators sometimes refused to switch off.

After 450 miles the clutch has gone. I tried a mega takeoff at the lights and left a mass of smoke - clutch smoke. Bit disappointing as it is supposed to be performance car. Apparently about 15% of Gallardo's have had new clutches!!!

good thing your dealer took care of the problem promptly. i work for a major car dealer, and sometimes they like to procrastonate on big warranty repairs. espically an engine, we have to bring in a specialist if a car ever needs an engine so he can give a second opinion!!

Good luck, my dad had an 03 Z06. He only put about 5,000 miles on it. During that time it had two major computer failures, the first left it stranded, the second time the stability control messed up and applied full left brake while cruising down a 4 lane street. Car spun out over a median and did over $10,000 worth of damage. Chevy said "not our fault, up yours." He'll never buy another Chevy product. The dealer repaired the car and sold it.

Friend of mine has an 06 Z06 that had a similar stability control problem except that it was his rear brake that locked and he was able to sell it. Bad yaw sensor was the problem.

Bad ass cars but I just don't trust them.

For all of you who slammed the car, saying for x dollars it should not do that... Keep in mind our trucks were not cheap and

1. The clutch blows
2. The shifter blows
3. The tires are junk

I am not ripping our trucks, love em. But just remeber, almost every car, no matter the price, will have its issues. Especially ones with lots of power that could be abused into submission.

Amen brother!

That's why I just have to shake my head and laugh at the "I'll never buy another Chevy" or "I'll never own another Dodge" statements that so often get thrown around.

If everyone looked collectively at the auto market and refused to buy any car that gave anybody some bullshit problem or poor dealership service, we couldn't buy any vehicle brand whatsoever - PERIOD. :D

My opinion is that new cars depend to much on electronics and computers.

Okay Jack. It's your turn.;) :D

John,

All this wonderful computer magic sh*t is great when it works.

But I call all computers and most things electronic FREDs (Fricken Rediculas Electronic Devices).
They are all powered by smoke; ie when you let the smoke out they don't work.

We have HotRods, and the nature of HotRods is that they are on the edge and will break more often than Mom's stock grecery getter.
If I want to go faster than a Hyundai, I must be willing to pay the price for high performance in this flawed by man, world.
