WOW! Congrats! This is a stock tranny right? Which shifter do you currently use as well. Very impressive

Yes, stock transmission with an XMetal Gen IV shifter with the Cherry Performance Short Handle. Royal Purple trans fluid, McLeod twin disc with an Aluminum flywheel, Viper hydralics.

Thats amazing shit jerry! I know how hard you've worked for that elusive n/a 11!

SUPER fast truck and perfect shifting! . . . . . . N/A too, that is sickening!

Great job!

Excellent run and shifting. Are you running the stock dana? I assume you "slip" the clutch to keep the DR's hooked? What rpm did you go from?

Yes stock Dana, but I have an 04 and I switched to 4.56 gears. I leave the line at 3750 rpm, 16.5 lbs air pressure in the M&H drag radials and I do NOT slip the clutch. It's a McLeod Twin Disc and it's not meant to slip...it's either in or out. I power shift at 6000 rpm. By the way the speed on the first run was 114.32 and on the second run 114.60....the scoreboard just looked like it was 119.

Jerry if you will shift that thing at 5300 to 5500 I guarantee you your times will be better.

Actually Jack I have tried that by making passes and shifting at 5500 rpm, and I actually lost a little time. My peak horsepower is at 5600 rpm, so I try to go slightly past that..ie 6000. I made some test runs where I shifted at 6000 and then shifted at 5500 and after comparing the different increments ( 60' to 330', 330' to 1/8, 1/8 to 1000' and 1000' to 1/4 mile) I found that the only increment quicker with a short shift at 5500 was from 1/8 to 1000'. Therefore I actually shift from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd at 6000 rpm and I short shift 3rd to 4th at 5600 rpm and that has given the best results. Each truck is different and maybe because of the ported intake and my equal length true dual x-pipe exhaust my engine likes a little more rpm......it works for me........but thanks for the tip, I appreciate you looking out for this old fart....and we will stick together!

Probably just helps mine because of the nitrous. My nitrous shuts off at 5500 and on at 3500 with the window switch. BTW that was a beautiful pass!!

Nice run Jerry, you were working that shifter HARD.:proud:
