Today ROUSH Performance released a new pickup that's inspired by the company's participation in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, the 500RC. It packs a supercharged (or ROUSHcharged) version of Ford's 5.4-liter V8 producing 445 horsepower and 500 ft-lbs. of torque. That's a pretty big bump over the stock motor's 300 horsepower and 365 ft-lbs. of torque, especially considering the engine and the entire truck is covered under a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty from ROUSH.

Rounding out the rest of the package is a dual rear-exit high-performance exhaust, 20-inch chrome wheels and a billet aluminum grille. So no one confuses your 500RC with a normal F-150, ROUSH also includes fender and tailgate badges, a top- and side-stripe kit, and a serial number badge in the glove box.

The 500RC features the same engine upgrades as the Stage 3 F-150, but appears to be aimed at the buyer who cares to be a bit more discreet. And at $11,995 plus the cost of a donor truck, the 500RC is significantly cheaper than the $15,860 Stage 3 package.

Wow, that Chrome bumper really looks grrrrrrrrrrrrrreat!

Whatever, Ford doesn't seem to want to do the job, so I guess it's sumptin'? Though, not much.:p

Hmm, I looked again. IMO, the new F-150 is waaay too boxy to ever look like a sport truck. And the sides of the bed, while I'm sure make it even more functional, are simply to high to ever look 'right'.

I swear, I'm 6'6", and I could stand in the bed of that thing and you wouldnt be able to see me. Always hated the new ones, bed's too damn deep.

Im not fond of the new body style neither. Its still a heavy pig and I wouldnt expect any jaw dropping 1/4 times out of it. Atleast its something since Ford wont nut up and produce the next generation Lightning.
You guys need to hold onto your SRT10's since prodution is stopping, they didnt make near as many of them as Ford did Lightnings and will be worth some coin later on. Im still toying with the idea of selling the Lightning to get my hands on a RC.:dontknow:

Its just too damn heavy, it will take a lot of power to get it going quickly.

Bill.

Great a four wheel drive SC Roush Ford. Oh its not 4wd? Sure looks it to me!!! Looks fricken lifted......drop that bitch Ford!!! Even the crappy Toyota wanna be pickup is dropped some!

My 04 F-150 was slammed 4.56 LS tuner Exhaust airaid cai and still could not get out of its own way and the ride was shit the brakes faded all the time under easy driving..and the bed was to damn high to get things out of...and the gas mileage was about the same as my SRT QC with only 700 miles on it..
and the POS dynoed in at 228 RWHP and 256 RWTQ

Me too. Some of these new F150 guy's are just delusional. I kid you not.
