hey anybody gonna be around nashville this weekend? looks like im leaving in the morning 3-9 and will be there in about 7 hours. wheres a good place to hang out? will be there friday night and saturday night then back to south bend.

I'm about an hour south but I dont know Nashville at all, and there doesn't seem to be much forum activity for us TN peoples. Maybe someone can chime in and form a G2G, I may go if that happens.
 
Maybe GTG on Sunday? :dontknow: Id be game, weather permitting. . .
 
If you like music history go downtown to music row. Visit the Ryman theatre. There are eating places and historical places as well as bars that have live bands all up and down the street. Definitely tour the Opryland Hotel on the inside it has several acres of small ponds,waterfalls,trees and other things under roof, definitely a must see.
 
We could all get drunk and go to Tootsie's! :dontknow: This where folks play right before they "make it". As well as current stars go.

Just set the time and place and I'm there dudes. Only person I've met on these forums (since my time in Houston) is SGT-bo of Huntsville.... Gotta get out more :D I wish zip codes were mandatory for users so we could have a locater thing of some sort. I left a note on the window of a local YF QC but no bite yet, been a week : (

I'm with ya. I guess it depends on mcrodney's schedule. I met some folks in Atlanta a while back, cool dudes. Hell, if its just the 4 of us, thats cool by me! I tried to plan a GTG and failed miserably. FWIW, I am free Sunday, thats a better day for me. . .
 
Listen to Mopower, the Opryland Hotel is cool as can be. I stayed there a couple of years back, it's something to see. And there are lots of cool bars and bbq joints all over. Nashville is a great town, one of the places I wouldn't mind moving to.

any other weekend i'm in ,living near clarksville(ft. campbell)leaving for las vegas sunday.nashville is hosting the srt exper. in aug
 
Damn, I just saw this thread. I live 15 mins from Opryland Hotel. If anybody comes up hallar at me.
 
I've started adding everyone who is somewhat local to me to my buddy list to help keep track and PM them for G2Gs and such. You guys may want to do the same.

im here in nashville. sorry got here and went straight into meetings. its midnight nashville time. i have one other meeting saturday for about an hour. otherwise im free sat night then off to home early sunday morning. im staying by the airport at the hilton so anyone close let me know. i would like to party sat night if anyone is available.

Its one of the places that makes Nashville, "Nashville". Its a semi hole-in-the-wall bar. Musicians on the verge of "making it" it play there. Those that have made it, re-visit the place frequently to pay tribute. Pretty cool place.

You have to be able to tolerate country music though. I personally can tolerate it.
