:p well roy, she was right in the free speech idea, other than that I feel that I agreed with many people about her opening her mouth up. I wished it to stop opening personally and would still agree with that idea. The inital purpose for what happened then was right, although it has shifted now, I still agree we need to be there doin what were doin. We elected him as a nation weather people want to believe it or not therefore we can do nothing but stand behind him as our leader and cheif and support our troops whom have given and given for this country. We must always remember that with decisions there can be bad and good, it all depends on the outcome. But to just listen to people bit*ch and moan when there not actually physially trying to cause a change is just plain useless and really irritating. She opened her mouth yes, but did it do any good, nope all she did was divide people in our nation when we should have been focusing more on our troops whom were in the middle of this. She goes home to her big house and opens her coke and sits on her nice leather couch (spell) but causes no good change at the end of the day, while a young man is on patrol protecting and serving for her to have the right to open that big mouth of hers just is not what I consider being uesful to society. I hope she goes back to singing about all the guys who left her for a better woman. :p

"SHUT UP AND SING"
This could apply to Natalie as well as Bruce and the rest of the gang who use concerts where people pay for overpriced tickets to hear performers express there political views versus just putting on a show.

You know, I think we should all be like this dorkfish and the next time American Lives are lost due to the actions of another nation or freakazoid sect. We should just all shrug are sholders and say oh well. I didn't get hurt and I can't prove with any degree of certainty who did do it so .... let's do nothing.

Hero's come in many different sizes, shapes and forms...I just think that when someone is attacked for speaking their mind, by the masses, and then proved to be correct by history, they need to be acknowledged as hero's.

When congress would not stand up to the President, this little blond with a microphone was one of the few to scream in pain...a pain that most of us now acknowledge.

I think your missing my point roy, Yea freedom of speech is great but.... When your in the public eye as she is and just shrugs here shoulders at that present situation and just opens her mouth, that is not a hero. A hero is someone who fights a cause they believe in, not just picking a verbal fight over something they open there mouth at (untastefully if i might say). There are ways to handle situations and well she just hid behind the free speech amendment. Additionally she also picked on anyone who supported the other side of the argument in a distasteful fashion. Therefore in my book she is and always will be a loser and should just sing, not open her mouth and forget about all the other people that were effected by the cause in the first place. If she was such a great hero, did she go support our guys during this war, did she do anything better to help our guys in a more productive way. Quick answer is no (as far as I know), if she was a true believer in the cause she would have been trying to do things to help the troops, not just bush bashing and then toby keith bashing. She wanted publicity and got it, hopefully she lost 1/2 her fan base from this. She may have been correct in principal but in reality she was the mud slinging kid at cars on the freeway and anyone whom didnt agree got hit because they didnt follow her view point. Back to my main thought here roy, hero no way, you have got to be kiddin me right?

by whom do you mean specifically? If its our military (which I hope not) Then I call them anything but american, to be in the us military is a great honor, to protect this great country of ours at all costs is what they signed up for. Therefore if they joined for the wrong reasons, well im not going to jump to far into this topic. Lets just say I have many military friends and all of them agree with what happened and why we went in the first place. For someone to open her mouth (ms dizty chick) and have an opinion is fine but when you do it to insult the president, most likely for your own self centered, unthoughtout reasoning is absurd. Secondly the term "has" : If you enlisted to serve the country, you did it of your own free will, you surrendered yourself to protecting and following in the direction of what congress, senate and the president have chosen as the objective. Agree or disagree the choice was the citizen who enlisted. The same goes for the president, WE VOTED HIM IN THEREFORE WE AS A NATION MUST STAND BY THE CHOICES WE MAKE!

In reality of any other circumstance if someone didnt believe in something they wouldnt do it. Thats just human nature. But if they believed they would never stop fighting to achieve a goal. And they would attempt everything to make it happen.

But as far as it goes, im not trying to fight here, im stating a that from all my military friends and many people I know and myself included agreed we needed to do somthing. We did and still are and Were not going to just leave.

The Ditzy chick can earn my respect when he does something besides just open her mouth and nothing more. That GROUP SHOULD BE SUPPORTING OUR MEN ACCROSS SEAS, not bickering that our president is bad.

heres 5 fuckin ideas FOR THE DITZY CHICK
1. RAISE SOME MONEY FOR OUR TROOPS!
2. GET MATERIALS THEY NEED TO THEM (AKA BASIC ITEMS THEY ARE WITHOUT)
3. START A FUND FOR OUR INJURED AND KILLED TROOPS
4. HELP OUT FAMILYS OF OUR TROOPS
5. GO OUT AND VISIT THE TROOPS AND MAKE THEM FEEL A LITTLE BIT OF HOME WHICH THEY MISS SO MUCH

All im stating here is she is no hero and never will be! Do something productive and constructive not counter active.

I applaud the Dixie Chicks!! :congrats:
They were the ONLY ones willing to stick their necks, and in turn their reputations, on the line and go against our president when everyone else was just marching in stride right behind him. They were right then, and are right now!
