Not sure how far St.Louis is,but Dallas is only about 1,250 miles from me.Two days easy driving or 20 hrs straight. Just hope it is a cool time of year.I hate summer sweaty, sticky, humid=miserable

I think most members are willing to drive up to around 1000 miles or so. Where are most members located? 2 meets would definitely benefit the most people, & have a central meet every 2-3 yrs in place of "divisonal" meets. I live in central Wi, but drivin 1500 miles is not a big deal, unless gas goes to 5.00 or more!!

Perhaps Joe Donovan of PBJ could do a dyno day if the event were held in Saint Louis? Also, maybe Justin could have something going on to showcase his products? I know quite a few of us have his stuff on our trucks, it would be a nice way to show them off :)

Silverback, I initially marked Denver as my choice but would be able to make St Louis also, probably a 12 or so hour drive. I think it would be fun for several of us members from Denver area(including Dave T(Badvenm) who is almost a Denver resident) to convoy across I-70 to St. Louis.

Now that is really "Centerally Located" isn't.
I made this suggestion in the other thread. If you want centrally located with a Vegas feel with lots of lodging, restaurants, shows and things to do other than sit around and look at one another. Drum roll please...........

You're welcome.:D

I'd love to see UDLUZ and StanSRT10 join us if this goes down. Stan and UDLUZ both have forced induction beauties.

I like Branson. It has some major traffic issues but no more than Vegas. Lots of things to do, kinda mid USA. That would be a bit further for the east coasters though.

Okay, got a few questions for those suggesting Branson.

Does it have the following?

Dyno facilities?
Drag Strip?
One of our Vendors located close by?
At least a couple members in the area that can help to organize the meet?

I have never been to Branson myself, so I do not know the answers to the above questions. These were however some of the things I looked at when I made the list in the poll.

I haven't found any Dyno places yet but I'm still looking.
Ozark International Raceway is about an hour North. http://www.ozarkdragstrip.com/
Have no idea about vendors or folks in that area.

When you said GTG, I didn't take into consideration the racing and tuning aspect. I was looking a logistics and ability for a place to handle a group our size in hotels and restaurants. Also looked a such diversions as entertainment for when we get tired of talking trucks  and something for the womens and kids to do. I figured, make it a vacation getaway as much as a GTG. Again, this idea was for a major centrally located family type GTG. If y'all are leaning more toward a test and tune type GTG you probably want to find places that have the dyno and track. Decisions, decisions......

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.:D

Sure...:D Downside is the GTG isnt gonna be very fun with 1500 members and only my truck hanging out aroung my house.:dontknow: ;) :p

Denver is gorgeous, but Bandimere Raceway is the MILE HIGH Dragway, our trucks will run at least a half second slower there, couldn't compare notes from any other sea level dragstrip.
