You can mount it under the dash were the radio goes. Mine is actually sitting on top of one of the a/c ducts.

i ran all the antanna from the engine bay to the radio, hook it all up and went for a drive, maybe im doing soemthing wrong,

1st i notice - that the " direction " east / west dont move it stays on ' E '

then i tryed to plug in an address to use the GPS but all it says is

you directions are being Calc'

im confused

There should be an option in the settings somewhere that tells you how many satellites you are picking up. Look for something that says "GPS information" or something like that.
