Need Computer Software Assistance ASAP!

All right....this is my dilema. I would like to download movies that I own to my hard drive and I cant figure it out. Somebody told me to try this software called Handbrake....doesnt work!:dontknow:

Does anybody know any free softwares out there for Windows Vista?:dontknow:

Jake is right, gotta RIP it.

There are several free utilities that will do it, but I hope you have lots of disk space!!

Oh and, if the program gives you a choice, I would save them as DivX files. I've always had good luck with DivX. You can get a free player HERE.
 
Disk drive space is CHEAP!

USB 2.0 750gb external drives are around $130.00!

This is a great way to go. Once it's ripped to your computer, you can stream HD video to multiple destinations in your home and beyond with some inexpensive hardware anywhere you have broadband service. Imagine accessing your collection from a friend's house... in another country!:rock:

The way to rip movies is using a program called dvddecrypter
It then copies the movie to your HD you can then play the movie on your machine or durn it to a dvd.
Use a Dual Layer DVD when burning to disk
 
I use dvd shrink, but there are many other programs that work well. google is your friend!
