Hey Guys,

I've search the threads for related topics on clutches
but nothing there about what I am experiencing. If its
there I couldn't find it. Anyway, my question is this...
my clutch pedal has that flappy spungey feel to it...
I can tap on it with my foot and it just has that flimzy
feel...also is it normal for it to engage about 2-3 inches
from the bottom or does it need adjusting???? I am sked
to take her in on monday for a check...warranty is still
good for now....Thanks for the help.....

Yep, my 06 stocker does similar with 2361 miles on the clock. Releases near the end of pedal travel and IMO has a some amount of play in the pedal with the vehicle off and stationary. Other than that it shifts and drives fine. Although I do have the B&M shifter installed. What year ya got, mods, miles, drivin habits, etc....

FastRam, that is the same simptons as my. Its an 04 83K has a replacement OE clutch with 9300 under warrranty..has replacement OE tranny (drop the reverse gear) was fixed under extended warranty. Its my daily driver. Never been raced on the track...bone stock....occasional blasts down 3-4 lane roads traffic permitting. All in all, I am pleased with it.

Probably the slave and master going out. Look around and get the set for the car. Its made of metal and not plastic so the massive heat dont make it fail. If you buy the car kit for the truck,it comes with shims to make it fit properly. Just look around here, I think a vendor sells the complete kit. Don't get the stocker because it WILL do it again.

I recall seeing several threads here that addressed this issue and I recall the end result/consensus was -- situation normal. If you still have a concern, I'd run it to the dealer and have them check to make sure all is within spec.

Sounds to me like your slave is gone

Same thing happened to me, so I did the whole thing. Clutch, slave, press plate, flywheel.

Much better now.

you can still buy it and when they do the warranty work have them use the one you bought at least you save on labor. and they should not say it will void the warranty because it is a chrysler part and made for your vehicle, im sure they can get you one but double or triple of anywhere else.

well guys, thanks for all the good info. started out this morning going to work and it was having a very hard time shifting up. Drove for a bout 5-10 miles and had to turn around and drop it at the dlrship. Had a standing appointment for this coming monday. I couldn't take the chance and continue having it act the way is. So waiting for them to do diag. Will let you know the out come. Rally bummed out right about now.

Well the dlrship service manager advised that it is the master. The only additional prob is with the warranty folks. They will only authorize the repairs to the item that shows in diag as the prob. But my service mnger advised that when the tech getting into and finds that the slave bad also, they will
make their pitch the need to repair them both. This is simular to the same scenior when the tranny was replace. These guys want to see the damaged component for their own review. At any rate, should be done either later today or tomorrow.:congrats:

Thanks for all the advise and recommendations.

Let them fix it but be prepared for needing the aftermarket slave and master... If it is free it will just get you more time before it needs to be replaced
