need help understanding

Whilst i twas toodlin thru the local lowes today, I chanced to happen

upon the new John Deere and Husqarvana riding mowers.

Noticed the price

some at $2799 and some $2299

now I noticed some of the monthly payments on a few of them also

here is what I observed

the john deere riding mower $2799 at $78 month on lowes credit

the husqarvana riding mower $2299 at $64 month on lowes credit

now what is the point of this?

I read the small print and this is true , go to your local lowes and check it out.................absolutly amazing



The 54 inch cut john deere is $2799 or $78 month for 255 months!
that comes to $19,890 over a 21 year period for a $2800 lawnmower


the husky you ask?

$64 a month for 208 months or $13,312 a much better deal and a less time only a 17 year period.

Now the bad thing is this gets done all the time since too many people are just too busy to read the fine print and want to have more than they can really afford . The sad thing is I think I paid about that total on my Kubota 4x4 diesil ,belly mower and front end loader and that will last me the rest of my life .
On the subject of rip offs start to watch all the new credit cards you get as they have gone to a bi-monthly method of intrest compounding which just means you pay intrest on the first 1/2's intrest before you can make a payment . Just a way to make you Think your getting a good deal .

That is $67.00 per month interest and only $11.00 towards the principal.
