I have always thought of myself as a guy car with no particular die hard loyalty to one make or another although I do obviously lean toward Mopar. That said I am looking at 2 vehicles right now and would like some input from you guys. And yes I know I tod GT61 to buy both trucks but I am not in a position to do that right now. The vehicles I am looking at are 1. '64 Dodge Polara w/ 426 Wedge 2. '64 Chevy Impala w/ 409 If price, condition and all other factors were equal which would you choose. Thanks, V
Buy the Impala. All else being the same, the resale value will be more no matter what the condition unless the Mopar has some sort of historical signifigance or heritage. Also, finding a buyer for an Imp when and if you ever sell it is way easier than finding a buyer for a Polara. That's my .02. Greg
409's are legendary.   426 wedge very cool but not in the same league.:dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow: It's a no brainer Vince.:burnout: :burnout: :burnout:
Resale value on classic chevys is always higher... Just watch ANY Barrett Jackson classic car auction.... Old Chevys have better value.... The choice of a Mopar is an emotional one.... If "Mopar or no car" is your phrase...well, it may be financially wrong, but ya gotta follow your heart.... Good luck SD
OH, PLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAASE. Earth to mopower, come in mopower......we cannot discern your trajectory.......you seem to be hurling uncontrollably into oblivion.....hello, do you read me?....This is earth calling mopower......over..... Seriously dude. This guy is asking a serious question and you answer with "Chevies suck!"?? Ok then, I suppose you would also prefer a 1970 Satellite over a 69 Yenko Camaro right, Mr. Mopar? Cause Chevies suck right? Sheesh, you would answer that a 1986 Dodge Omni is better than a 64 Impala also, right? I would hope the F*** NOT!!! Anyway, I think the dude is looking for opinions on what would be the better purchase, from people who would otherwise be open to purchasing either, as he is, not "what do you like." Heck, we all have opinion on what we like. We should start a thread about that. In fact, I think i will. And you are welcome to come and bust my balls just like I am doing to you here. No offense meant brother, must be the heat...and the fact that i can't stand elitist pr*cks. LOL...anyway, peace. Greg
Steve, if it were about 2-3 months from now and they were both still available I would agree. But right now it's an either or. I have been leaning towards the 409 but not for resale because as my wife will tell you once I buy them I tend to keep them. I think it is more what I would be getting for the money. The price is close enough. The Dodge, push button auto, Chevy 4 speed. I hate these decisions.:burnout: :hmmmm2:
Get the YUGO Vince....Screw all those classic POS car's Get a God Damned Yugo and Stroke the Shit out it...........Get Hennessey to mock you up a Turbo or better yet......... Put a STS on that Yugoslavian beast Chariot and pimp it out with some 9" spinners and some Roktman Love fringe on the head liner  You will have the world's only 7 second Yugo......Think of all the Chick's and trophies you will have   Give me Yugo or give me death :2in1:
We are here to pay homage to our dear departed brother Mikey aka TheSickness. He was BAWAHHHHA
