i just bought a 04 srt-10 rc 35k mileson it and its leaking like a quart of oil every 2 days from somewhere,also a clanking,clicking noise is coming from the trans or bell housing any ideas, and one more thing i dont have much clutch pedal

leaking oil, or using oil...
some noise from the trans is to be expected...
clutch pedal doesn't let out like a lotus elise...even the new ones let out near the top....

check your oil cooler lines. they are for shit and tend to leak. the ticking noise you here may be just the valves there normally loud change to 15w40. Your probably gonna need a new clutch but first change the fluid and bleed it. If the clicking noise is in the trans (could be your problem) may also be a centerforce clutch the ticking was irritating to me:dontknow: Change all your fluids because chances are they only changed the engine oil. Welcome more will chime in. Also if you can be a little more descriptive it may help alot better

Just what I was wondering...
a clicking noise you may be hearing is probably normal injector noise, kinda hard to diagnose on the net,
the oil leak is either the factory oil lines or the rear main seal, nothing to be going nutts over, have the rear main checked, and check the oil cooler lines, they are in the front of the engine on the passenger side, going to an aluminum lookin cooler on the fenderwell,
the rear main is where the tranny meets the engine, you cant really see the rear main but if its leaking where they meet its probably the rear main seal, tranny muust be removed t fix the rear main leak

replaced my rear main got it home drove it for a while still leaking.....put it on the lift to findout my dipstick tube was not pushed all the way in im gonna pull it out tomorrow and welda strap to it and bolt it to one of the oil pan bolts!!!!!

i test drove it,it ran and drove fine other than i thought the pedal on the clutch would be more towards the floor,u cant here anything inside the truck ,u cant feel anything ,everything seems to be ok, until u get under it , truck is great i just dont know much about them

If the loud clicking noise is what we think it could be, we all experienced it. Hell when I bought mine, I made a mechanic listen to it I was so worried about the noise. Just the lifters, but it definately is a loud sound when the hood is up!

The oem lines are terrible...get Tony's steel braid that is where you will end up anyway. You might want to get the power steering lines at the same time...they will go soon too.
