Alright, my truck is still running a bit weird, cutting out a bit at low rpm's with the occasional backfire, and i can feel a slight loss in power until i hit higher rpm's, theres a slight jerk of power when it quits cutting out.

I posted a while back about this and the codes it threw (fuel injectors, fuel injection circuit) and i suspect that my VEC3 may need resetting or the tune has gone bad (i no that may sound dumb, im just brainstorming with little knowledge).

I want to disconnet the VEC3 to let the truck run on its factory pcm to see if it is the VEC3. How do i do it? I can see the 10 pin harness in front of the PCM for the VEC3, is there something else to plug in after that is disconnected?

Lastly, the truck sat up for a couple weeks and the battery has been low, i have had to jump it off twice, Sean Roe told me that these trucks are very sensative to being just off and he has had to take trucks to the dealership after jumping them off before.

Thanks in advance for any help guys!

I might be able to offer advice..................... A good while back my 06 quad cab started getting a "pop style" backfire. It would only do it when it was idling in park, or stopped at a redlight in gear. It would "pop" once about every 10 to 20 seconds. It got a bit embarrasing, but I had recently installed long tube headers/full exhaust, and I didnt worry too much about it because the truck seemed to run fine. I was at my buddy's dyno one day and he heard the ever-so-often "pop" coming from the truck. We stuck it on the dyno to compare results from the last time the truck was dyno'd. Well, we were down about 30 or 40 hp as I recall. I ran o O'Reilly's and bought a new replacement set of factory champions, and put them in real quick. The popping stopped and the truck picked up every bit of the lost power. So.............try new plugs, and see what happens.

That sounds like my kind of advice, quik, easy, and in-expensive!

Any idea of what plugs would work best with my setup?

I always ran the stock champions befored I went FI. You might see what the cross-over Bosch plug is.......I'm sure it will be fine too.

In your sig it says you have "Stinkers 3" x 26" Powersticks" What is that if you dont mind me asking. Thanks
