My truck has Billy Boat long tube headers, no cats, and magnaflow the rest of the way out.
The magnaflow muffler has a loud rattle inside of it at certain rpm's that really annoys me and i need to quiet the beast down for awhile because of the close quarters neighborhood i just moved in to, at least until i can get a lil work truck.

All i really need is a good muffler (3" 2 in 2 out) to replace the magnaflow that will quiet me down a lil without loosing too much flow...any suggestions?:dontknow:

Im looking for a louder exhaust, Id be willing to trade you my Gibson? Its quiet at idle, pretty quiet drivin, and gets pretty loud full throttle. Let me know

PM Sent sully1369. Anyone know anything about gibson exhaust as compared to magnaflow?

get the mopar catback or the borla, they're both the same. excellent choice for me and I was in the same boat you were with the full exhuast

i would buy the aero exhaust. i have the mbrp 4in monster and i put two aero resonators on the 2.5 lines before going in the the big 4in. It's catless with headers and sound 100 times better with the aero resonators. and i heard that the aero mufflers sound the same. they make all sizes, a little spendy but they sound good

you've already got the B&B LT headers & catless mids, finish it off with the B&B catback..... nothing sounds better !!!

While I wholeheartedly agree that a full B&B system sounds fantastic, since I have one myself, I would never call it "quiet" or even "quieter". (except compared to straight pipes).

I think resonators are your best bet for a dB level approaching stock. BelgiumBarry and NYCSteve added AeroTurbine resonators to a full B&B system to quiet it down, and obviously from above BlackDodge10 has done that with MBRP. Either of those would be custom exhaust work, not a slip and clamp solution, though. Custom welded or flanged connections are better anyway.

same problem here , mopar LT headers ,decat and magnaflow ,but mine is a 06 QC . My wife was just telling me yesterday that she is tired of my noisy and loud toys (all cars and my harley !)

The mopar was 800$+ , maybe put the OEM muffler ??

Mine has no cats, Bassani headers and Magnaflow....loud....I love the sound but sometimes hate it....I installed Cherry Bomb glass packs in the mids....took just enough loud out to make driving enjoyable and still vibrate windows..:)

I have gotten way more compliments with my B&B than I ever did with the magnaflow that was on my truck when I bought it.

Finish it with the B&B

You could do that Larry? Glasspacks in the mids? I have a new set of glasspacks laying around in their boxes that I didn't know what I was going to do with. If my planned Bassani headers, rear cat delete and Powerstick sticks are gonna be too loud lemmie know so I can plan for the glasspacks as well.

Worked well for me...the glass paks act like resonators killing the drone...straight thru design adds very little back pressure...

But you have NO cats, so I can imagine the drone being somewhat obnoxious at times. The glasspacks would be great in your setup. I wonder if it'll really make mine too quiet with rear cats gone. I will find out and if it's too loud I can always add the glasspacks.

Yeah..the glasspaks can be added later...your front cats may hold the sound where you want it..if not, just add the GPs.

Come up here and let Taliban Dan do his magic with some aeroturbines.
