Need Prayers

good to hear buddy my stomach sank when you called me yesterday and told me what was going on. Still have you guys in our prayers! Gimee a call whenever bro!

Ken I am praying for Dawn's quick recovery. I went through back surgery in 1978 so I know how painful it can be. If there is anything I can do to help please don't hesitate to let me know.

Bill.

Morning everyone...the prayers helped for sure, thank God there was not a significant trauma inside her when the MD re-explored her surgical site yesterday...however he opened her up more, and she is sore as hell.
Not really sure why she was pouring out spinal fluid...but as long as she does not develop Meningitis as a result...all will be good.
Pain management seemed to be an issue for a bit, :nurse: but we have the MD's cell #, as he is a friend of ours...and we got it worked out last night.

Waiting for the am consult.

Thank You All for the prayers and support.... it really means a LOT :)

Good news, Ken. Lauri and I are praying for you both.

Evening everyone...

Thanks for all the prayers and support.....were home from the hospital.... what a weekend.

Got Dawn into "some sort of comfortable", and she is finally sleeping :star:

I'm beat... but she is going to do fine... so it's all good.

I can't imagine how it feels to get cut on the same spot twice in a week...:(

Thanks everyone for the calls and PM's. Sorry if I was a rambling idiot at times on the phone.... guess it's not too far off the "norm"... :D

Ken

Glad to hear you are back home Ken. Keep us updated and let us know if you need anything!!

Great news Kenneth

Merry Christmas to Ya Miketh....:D
Swat the Mrs's for me....or chase her around the house with "the pickle" -n- mistletoe... :ridinghorse:

Looks like they kicked Dawns ass when they had her "under"...she is not moving so good :(
I told the surgeon (before surgery) we were going to write a complaint to his boss, and that Dawn hated his wife...so not too sure if he was as gentle as he could have been :dontknow: J/K :D

Anyone want breakfast while I'm serving? Coffee, Blueberry bagel, and 2 Percocet...:D (for the Mrs's)

Safe travels to everyone , and have a great holiday... thanks for the thought's and prayer's.

Wow you sound a lot better...Dawn is still in pain, but Percocet is soooo good.

Looks like the weather here will be nice today...may take the truck out for a spin as my Christmas present to myself.

Enjoy, and be thankful...

What's sad is it's barely controlling her pain...
Were trying something different as of 5 minutes ago...to see if we can get her comfortable... just got the dressing change done.... hell of a cut she has now...and she has nylon in her now to boot. 5" vertical cut... pretty big considering a normal post op scar for that operation is about 1 1/2 to 2" max.

If this attempt at pain Mgmt does not work I'm pulling out the Moonshine:D

Merry Christmas Roy, hope you have a blessed holiday, and a great trip in the truck :burnout:

Thanks for being such a great friend Roy... your a hell of a good man. Thanks for everything.

Maybe you can call her doc and request a pump??? With that she can dose herself and you can oversee the process...a visiting nurse can bring the DME and set it up...

Hope she is doing better by this afternoon.

Always there for you.

Roy

Ken I know somewhat how she feels. Since mine was done a long time ago (1978) I also have a 5 to 6 inch scar, no fun for sure. I hope she feels much better very soon.

Bill.

Merry Christmas Ken and Dawn. God Bless you both. :)
